Will miss the big man, he’d maybe be cheerier if we gave him some European football to play in like we would have promised to lure him here.

Gutted as when moussa left we still had eddy, now we have griff :31:

Aye, we bought a £5m striker who struggles to get on the bench.

We will not get anybody anywhere near his class. We can’t go out to try and replace like for like, we’ll need to try a different way. Like the first player we had to be a proper scorer after Henke was McDonald.

    Dembele

They all share something thing in common besides having wore the Green & White, none will ever be replaced with like for like or better quality in their positions on our budget.

We can replace that sort of player, we should be looking at young strikers and one of 2 we get in should be a loan to buy who can't get in the team at a high end team.

Aye it'd be 10s of millions to replace Edouard.

Well, he was supposed to. But he certainly didn't (in my opinion)

Time will tell with Eddy, and I hope for his sake I am wrong, but I seriously doubt he'll match Dembele's career when we look back in a decade.

    Eddy never replaced Moussa?

Well, in your opinion then, who exactly has been filling that spot for the last couple of years? :43:

As much as I’ve digged him out at times for the attitude and laziness this season I honestly wish him the best and I hope we get * good money for him.

Would I want him to stay? I’m undecided due to his contract situation and getting him to sign a new deal so we don’t lose him for nothing.

If we are offering anything around 20 million then we should be taking it.

Give every ducking penny to the new manager (which won’t happen) and get some good new first team ready players to walk into the side.

He replaced his position. He didn't replace the quality. Which is the point the guy above was alluding to.

Depends how you look at it. None of them were world beaters straight away. They just all improved dramatically by getting game time and moving their abilities forward. We can easily pick up players with similar potential but we’ll never buy a player with their quality when they left/leave.

I'm talking about the two of them as strikers, don't think we'll see any strikers as good as them again for a long time

Before this season just about everyone was saying the exact opposite.

It's disheartening watching how our players have performed this year. Edouard is a quality player and gets harsher treatment due to our expectations of him.

You said none will be replaced like for like or with better quality. We did with Moussa.

As a striker pairing, we won't have any strikers as good as them two for some time
