Completely downed tools this season. For all the ability he has, he has been an absolute disgrace this season. Get him to * and invest the money on quality that wants to work for this football club!

 

Hes never been an out and out striker for me. Would have played him on the left of a front three as i dont think he has the physical attributes.

Doesnt care enough and is too hot and cold. He might maintain form for a team he wants to play for. Probably should have been moved on in the summer.

100% correct.
Without the revenue from attendance, money is tight for all teams & splashing the cash around will be limited to the rich clubs.
I'm guessing that we will see a big drop in player valuations & clubs with players heading into their last year will be hit by this the most. The same can be said for giving out massive contracts, it's the road to disaster.

 

In hindsight, although we were all crying out for him to stay to push for 10, he should have been sold on in the summer.

We immediately saw the fruits of forcibly keeping a guy who wants away.

However, there’s still no excuse for downing tools. He’ll now leave in disgrace.

 

The one thing that's really stood out, for me at least, is how slow he looks these days. He was never rapid but he had a decent burst of pace I thought.

We are all upset at how this seasons turned out but I think it’s a disgrace the way some are being treated.


This thread is an embarrassment. One of the best players we are likely to see for many years, who has scored something like 10 in his last 12, getting this level of abuse. The board and Lennon * it, no Edouard.

 

A bunch of people saying that he is * ! Another bunch saying he is worth 20 million plus !
Arsenal, Leeds & Leicester all want him but he looks like he's towing a bus.
Hard to understand.

 

He's still a world class player, genuinely believe that, I think he'll be talked about as one of the world's top strikers over the next few years, replacing him up front with similar quality will be just as difficult as replacing Forster at GK, Tierney at LB, Van Dijk at CB and Wanyama at CDM, basically impossible on our budget.

 

His attitude and laziness has not gone unnoticed.

I agree some of the abuse has been OTT but he deserves some of the criticism for his overall performances this season.

At times he has been an empty shirt.

 

Indeed, take Barca, Real, Roma, Inter etc all totally bust and propped up by friendly banks the lot
