Was dreeadful, few moments you even thought he was deliberatley making a * of stuff. Once he was in a good area for Taylor to play him in and instead of demanding the ball or moving he just walked away in behind defenders without even
    looking at Taylor.

Then that one Christie cut in near the 6 yard box to shoot, Edouard was wandering right over and ended up about 1 meter away from him as he shot. Either clueless or not interested as he should have been peeling back to the other end of the 6 yard box to create space for someone coming into the box although i've never thought he was the cleverest in the box at looking for tap ins or cut backs.

Shouldn't play up front alone again tbh, Ajeti works defenders, knows what he's doing in the box and holds the ball better. When we play Edouard up front alone we are really only doing it hoping he pulls out things with quality as he leads the line very poorly and isn't a real striker really.

He had a spell like this in his first season here too. Hopefully it is only a blip and he gets his head down and gets on with the job.

Don't think anyone has "turned on him" at all. He has been * so its fair to point it out.it was the manager that came out with the "players who don't want to be here" not the media, coincidentally on a night when Eddy wasn't in the team.

Really hope this is the case too. I do fear it's something else though.

I keep reading that he 'looks uninterested'.

Have any of you guys actually watched him... ever!

He NEVER looks interested! He's the most languid-looking player I've ever seen.

Some players are just like that. Berbatov is the prime example he constantly moped about as if he couldn't be arsed then a few minutes later he would pull something that was absolute genius out the bag.

Ajeti was a breath of fresh air when he came on. His movement in the box put Eddy to shame last night. If we play one up on Sunday, it needs to be Ajeti. Let Eddy come on and earn a starting slot.

Yeah he was awful last night.

He should be playing as part of a front two. That's when he's at his best. He's not a lone striker getting kicked, pulled and pushed all game.

No excuse for not playing Ajeti and Edouard up front now.

Missing the pen maybe has affected his confidence..

Really hope we see the really Edouard tomorrow v Hibs, and the real Celtic for that matter.

He'll need to be up for it tomorrow, the boy Porteous will be on him, and nipping at him all game.

NEIL LENNON insists Odsonne Edouard is NOT pushing to quit Celtic — as Brighton joined the chase.

The £30million-rated Hoops striker has been out of sorts recently and a host of Premier League clubs want him.

Lennon admits the extended transfer window can be unsettling — but insists Edouard is content.

He said: “We don’t want Odsonne to go, obviously, and we have had no significant interest in him as yet.

There’s always a bit of agitation when the window is open, but speaking to him he seems content enough.

“He didn’t have his best of games in Latvia in midweek, but that’s fine.

Odsonne is a human being at the end of the day. He’s 22.

“He didn’t have the best of games, but we know what we have got here with Odsonne.

We know what a talent he is. He is a quality player.”

The Covid-19 crisis saw Fifa extend the transfer window to Monday, October 5, leading to extra strain on managers.

Lennon wants a left-sided player to complete his own squad, but he is also braced for offers for star men.

Edouard, Kristoffer Ajer, Olivier Ntcham and Tom Rogic have all been the subject of interest.

The Celtic boss hopes to keep his squad intact but won’t relax until after the window closes.

He said: “We knew the date coming into it and I’m not exclusive to this, a lot of managers will be in the same position.

You get to take a deep breath after October 5 and look forward to the rest of the season, or at least until January.

“I am hoping it will be pretty quiet. We would like to get another player in, one more if we can.

“I would be absolutely delighted if that’s going to be the outcome.

“But I can’t predict what’s going to happen one way or the other.”
