I don't get the whole Firesale ?

I understand about all the Money side of not making the CL but tbh the CL hasn't been the same since at least 8/10 years is always all the same money sides , not saying this cause 2nite but I prefer us in the Uefa Cup its more competitive we aren't a CL team tbh Money has changed/ruined fitba

 

I don’t think it would be in response to a shortage of money.

The reality is, if you want to retain players like Edourd, Ntcham and Ajer then you need to show some sort of progress on the pitch, particularly in Europe. We’ve failed to do that, and I’m 100% sure Edourd will be leaving as a result. He may well have left anyway, but this guarantees it imo.

 

I just never understood the whole CL carrot to get skudded and chase shadows for 6 games out of at least 44 games

I genuinely don’t think he’s injured.

 

His face says it all over the last few games. He's done his time here. He'll go if not now, then in January.

 

Ntcham and Ajer are gone, they'll be the guys who will be sacrificed for the lost cl money

We need to do everything in our power to convince Edouard to stay. I honestly fear for us this season without him.

He’s all but gone in my mind. He’ll have his choice of a lot of good clubs and our early Euro exit makes it harder for us to turn down big money for him, especially with no fans coming to the games.

Eddy leaving this window has been the plan all along imo. When have we ever went out and spunked the best part of 10m on 2 players without knowing behind the scenes 1 of our top players was offski? And after signing ajeti lenny has still been talking about bringing in another striker. Eddy has took a few hard kicks in the past couple of games away to killie and dundee utd, and thought * this...im not playing and risking injury and jeopardising my big move down south or wherever.

 

I'll be shocked if he's still here, 10iar means * all to most players why stay playing against pish spfl opposition when he'll probably be able to get a step up.

 

Totally agree. I think the extent to which they've tried to pull the wool over our eyes is an absolute disgrace.

Truthfully if I'm Eddie, there's no chance I'm staying.

He's not a supporter, he's one of the top talents in Europe at present, trying to break into the full squad for the World Champions and we've now failed to make the Champions League group stages for the 3rd year running.

We only have ourselves to blame for these continual failures. Poor recruitment, poor management and an alarming lack of accountability.

Eddie goes, we'll cut our cloth, the PLC will still make a profit but who knows about the success of the football club. There's no appetite to progress as a football club but lots of appetite to progress as a commercial operation.

From a position of financial superiority we continue to give opposition glimmers of hope both at home and abroad; and it's high time someone was held accountable for it.

Replacing the likes of Tierney with Greg Taylor. Seeing the same old faces underperforming yet keeping their place in the team.
