He's inconsistent but there is a lot of.potential there IMO.

Need to remember he is only 19.

Decent player for a 19 year old but nowhere near as good as Griffiths and Dembele. Apparently we have a £7 million option to buy at the end of the loan deal, sorry he isnt worth anything like that kind of money.

Totally undecided about him. There's something there but not sure I'd speculate £7 million on him if that's the fee quoted

At this point in time i don't think he's the answer for us tbh, he really shouldn't be startin games.

No way would I spend £7m on him. Personally wouldn't go over £3m or thereabouts.

I don't see us taking up the option tbh. He's got decent ability but if Moussa leaves and he is the replacement then I think everyone would feel a real sense of disappointment.

Would we be against the possibility of dembele leaving this window, but we don't buy a new striker? Allowing edouard more game time and see if he steps up to be worth the reported £7mill?
If he isn't, then we sign someone in that price range come start of summer?

    I'd be against it.

Edouard has something about him but he's still very raw. Griffiths is a good squad player but if Dembele goes then I want a better striker than Griff as our first choice.

Zenit game aside, where Griffiths could do well, do we really need another in just now to see out this season?
Im just wondering if the lad deserves a bigger chance and could be an answer rather than bringing in someone new again?

With our qualifiers coming so early then I’d like a striker signed now and settled. Same goes for players in any position.

Edouard will have plenty of game time over the next few months to prove his worth.

But then, if we sign someone now (if dembele goes), and then we also like the look of edouard, we won't be spending double on players.
Then, what if a new striker is also *.

    The joys of football eh.

The "ou" doesn't really exist in English exactly as in French. The best way to describe the pronunciation is Ed - waar. You don't pronounce the d at the end.

Although I agree it's unfair on the guy to compare him to Griffiths who is 8 year his senior.

All 3 are quite different players. I wouldn't pay that money either though.

Regardless of if I feel he does have potential.

I think he’s a good player with bags of potential. I’d like to see us sign him permanently but not as a direct replacement to Dembele or for £7m. If we can get him in for £1m or £2m and develop him I think it would be a fantastic signing.

To be honest 7m realistically is about the going rate for a player of his potential. Is a high risk for us to take but I’ve generally been impressed by him and would rather spend it on him especially if he develops more over the rest of the season than sign another potential dud for a few million less.
