There is a wee laddie on his dad's shoulders , he's about 3 years old , his wee face is all excited , gimme gimme gimme . He's really expecting to get the shirt . Big eddy gives it to a 20 something man .

Contract runs until 2022 so he wont be going on a free, Just cannot see him staying past the summer. He may want to stay another year but we will see large bids coming in for him that our board will be all about!

As magic as it would be to get another season out of him I just can't see it, his quality is standing out as much if not more than Dembele now, he'll have his pick of teams in the summer.

 

I think if we sell him in the summer he is a 30 mill player. But I think with even a year contract extension he would be 50mill in summer of 2021. Be honest with the lad, give him a contract extension now and tell him we will let him go with our best wishes in 2021 if he's up for it. He seems very happy here now at moment, offer him a decent raise in wages

Forget the higher wage , include a percentage of sale after 2021 ,that way it is bonus to him to play his best all through season win win .

 

Another thing that people don’t associate with eddy but is another massive plus as a striker when you see the huns without Morelos, as great a player as he is and as lethal as he is, hes a very laid back guy fair player with a calm temperament and unlike Morelos and even to an extent guys like Griffiths, you know hes not going to get involved in anything stupid or Dirty and get sent off or suspended

 

Is our wage structure still around 30,000 for the highest paid player? (Brown I assume) if so, is there any way in which we can raise it to 50k? I don’t know it that would affect season ticket prices etc but maybe an avenue worth exploring

With Sinclair gone. The snake replaced by Lenny and a lot of the backroom staff. Quite a few other's out as well...we've deffo trimmed the wage bill..

If we wanted to do it....we could. Whether we will or no is another matter..
