    Samaras was putting in world class performances against the best teams in Europe. Aye Mibbe on Saturday he looked like he’d never touched a baw but he was definitely not * for * sake. Was a major scapegoat on for years before becoming a fan favourite. Mon the Sammy!!

    Realistically, don't think we will be able to hold onto him beyond end of season, especially if he continues at this rate of development. Got to be worth 35M at the moment.

    I feel the same, mate. How long's he got left on his contract? Ideally, he wouldn't be allowed to before the CL qualifiers are over, but the English window closing so early is an absolute bar steward in that regard. If he has to go, hopefully it's to a big French team after the qualifiers.

    The majority, right okay.

    He scored in just over 1 in 2.5 games, as a LW and set up a goal like 1 in 4.

    How much did he make for us with that goal against Dinamo Moscow, scored and set up a goal in the Karagandy match, scored against Spartak to win our first ever CL away win, BTW, no Celtic striker had done that in their history with the club to that point, at Parkhead had roasted them.too and set up both goals. The Dinamo Moscow goal was a history maker too, first time we had ever came back from a deficit after a loss at Parkhead. Didn't do overly badly scoring in the actual CL too.

    So for me hardly *. Off form he was howling but then probably look on this site in Eds first season and you'll see posts probably slagging the guy off too and wondering why the fk we paid £9m for him, I know I heard a lot of it.

    Ed is class, and has the world possibly at his feet, I'm not comparing him to anyone especially a LW, but let's not go overboard in both sides.

    But hey ho, we all love a scapegoat.

    Eddie's Value is all down to him staying fit and healthy. He takes forever getting back up to speed after a spell on the sideline. Dembele was the same ans that cost us financially as we sold him too cheap imo.

    I reckon Eddie leaves end of the season and depending on whether he can stay fit will be the difference of us getting 20mil or 25mil+

    Tbf we are getting some outrageous fees, fair enough compared to England it's a lot less and when you compare some of the * players it's a bit more grating, but Moussa, KT and inevitably Ed will be way over £20m again, maybe nearing £30 considering we paid £9m.

    £9m was a hefty amount, especially for a player PSG never played so the sell on fee may not be big.
    And Samaras was not gash. A tad inconsistent but I'm glad he was with us.

    Sammy was unplayable in europe. Hes a big silky long haired stallion that needed freedom to charge down a wing. Just wasnt keen on those tight 12 men defences.
