Of course. I was merely stating that the semi final was lost in the middle of the park, not because we lacked physicality up front.

I was also pointing out the sheer numbers in the squad. As I said, we have 5 wingers on significant contracts who are going to be at least playing some part (2 of which we can agree are probably not good enough) and 3 strikers currently, 1 who isn't good enough and is on a very large contract. I would prioritise a player who can play across the front 3, like Mmaee or Larsson over a phsyical striker like Almasi, simply because I still think we need someone who can play on the wing. If we can get rid of Ajeti, I'd be all for Almasi coming in and playing as 3rd choice striker but I can't see us getting him out the door, right now anyway.

I would be happy with both Almasi and Larsson/Mmaee but we aren't going to sign both until we move on players from the positions.

 

Makes it even more impressive that he made 32 appearances last season given he’s injured all the time

This. And something ppl also forget is that he IS a very, very good player and he never stops running. I would be incredibly happy if he signed and would be even if his name was Johnson and came from Senegal.

He would suit anges style perfectly. I do think that Henrik puts him off though, for several reasons.

I would agree he was definitely much poorer than the Forrest of old. Ange seems to believe in him enough to give him a 3 year deal though so I guess he believes he has something to offer us still.

Who are we to doubt Ange.

Don’t get the feeling Ange is overly sentimental tbh.

If he felt Forrest was finished and couldn’t offer anything on the park then he wouldn’t have offered him a deal imo.

 

Should be noted with the Almasi speculation is that it seems the first person to link him to us today was a "journalist" on twitter who is a new account with only 7 followers.

Not sure who I'd prefer out of all those. Just gone back and watched videos of them all and I'd probably lump for Onana, but a part of me hopes it's someone new. None of them seem quite the perfect fit.
