He’s under contract until the summer of 2025, so certainly wouldn’t be a cheap move.

If we get good physios/fitness coaches after the transfer window, taking a punt on Filip would be OK. I know he has defensive intelligence- he rarely made mistakes when he played. Height is obvious. Forrest reduced his injury incidence after he was given certain tips. Maybe Filip is the same?

 

Feel like he's very similar in style to Julien. I'd definitely take him back if his injury record has been OK since he's left us.

Maybe Luke Thomas given that they’ve signed Bertrand. £2m would be incredibly cheap though, unless it’s a loan.

Only other obvious one around their first team squad would be Benkovic. I would have said Nampalys Mendy too but would be strange given we’ve just signed McCarthy.

 

Benkovic's career has taken a nose dive since leaving us. I don't even think he got a game in Belgium last season... And I think he was at the same club as Hendry!

Could be one of those where we can get his career back on track. If I were him you'd be looking to jump at any opportunity to rejoin as it was his best spell as a player and got a lot of game time.
