The Switch is a cracking wee console looking forward to the Switch 2 hopefully next year, for a good single player game that is a bit of a dark horse a recommend Astral Chain.

Haha yeah that can be an issue :giggle1:

    I’m leaning towards getting:

Super Mario Deluxe - something she’s used to and I know she will like

Lego Star Wars - Harry Potter one would appeal to her more because she likes those movies and knows the characters but the gameplay on SW looks far more enjoyable and she would enjoy killing loads of enemies. It’s not too tough either and you can adjust the difficulty. I loved the old game too so I’d love it I reckon.

Luigis Mansion 3 - Rave reviews all round. Feel like I need to give it a bash for some co-op

Zelda - Same as above. Rave reviews all round. I want to get 1 game for myself and leaning towards this although I’m torn between that and Pokémon Arceus as I was a massive Pokémon fan on the gameboy.

Switch Sports - who didn’t love wii sports? This looks good too

Thanks mate. Looks decent but not totally my kind of game to be honest. Does look really good but I don’t think I’d be able to get into it

Took the plunge just now mate

    Switch OLED

    Mario Kart
    Super Mario Bros
    Luigis Mansion 3
    Pokémon Arceus
    Rayman Legends (£7!)
Stardew Valley (not really my jam but think it could be class if we get into it and was only £10)

    2 extra Xbox style controllers
    Portable case

£450 for the lot. Can’t argue with that really all brand new and arriving tomorrow. :yeah:

Good deal that, for the amount of games and controllers. Hope it comes rapid my man :50:

Pokemon Legends Arceus is not a typical Pokemon game. You have to dodge attacks. * hard for me with a disability and on a Switch Lite. Interesting story, though.

Super Mario Odyssey, for me, is a sensational platform game in the spirit of classic platform greats - incredibly imaginative & lots of fun. Not super difficult but will put a smile on your face

I bought one purely to play Pokemon on. Going to try and get a few more games for it. The Mario games mentioned in here sound good.

What ones did you play mate? What did you like most? I’m the same, got it to try out some new Pokémon games and to play some co-op Mario

That’s the next on my list to buy 100%. Been playing Blue Fire and it’s a good 3D platformer type too. Looking forward to playing Luigis Mansion and Super Mario Bros, they’re arriving tomorrow with Pokémon Arceus

Pokémon Arceus is class. Would even recommend this if you’ve never played Pokémon before. Open world ripe for exploring with different Pokémon appearing at different times of the day. Some quite challenging to capture.

12 hours played since I got it on Tuesday and I’ve not even scratched the surface.. endless side missions.

I would like if there were more battles against trainers but that may be in the pipeline as the game progresses, not too sure. For Pokémon fans from the Gameboy days it’s a must. Might even be on track to being my favourite Pokémon game I’ve played.
