Switch lite didn't sell that badly. Nintendo have just always had production problems, they never seem to get it right.

It's actually really easy to get one. Shops just won't sell you one if they think you look like a *.

    Don't tell @ScouseHoops

I think in my situation the Switch would become my main console.

Seems perfect for local co-op games and local multiplayer, as well as a lot of games that are quite child friendly.

There's nowhere near enough fun arcadey local co-op games on the Xbox for me, developers don't really bother with it in the most part.

Same with my PC, there's only really a handful of decent truly local co-op games.

I ordered the Lite one just yesterday off Nintendo direct. Seemed handy enough to me. Got one for the missus as a gift with the Zelda game.

Anyone played them much or have any rec's?

animal crossing is the rage nowadays.
but anyother nintendo exlculisves usually a good to great games
you cant go amiss with captain toad, mario kart, donkey kong, etc
zelda (the AAA game) is a good game but personally the battle is abit clunky (and hard), the puzzle is hard to me and content wise, the map is too big. i prefer links awakening zelda.
theres also the likes of smashbros and spaltoon if you like multiplayer

I want the console because I like the joy cons and think the wee man will love being able to throw a pokeball etc.

Still can't get hold of one either.

So I’m strongly considering getting one of the newer OLED models. Last console I bought was a PS4 yonks ago but I’ve left that over in my mates house and just play the odd bit of fifa or Trackmania when I’m there. That’s the only gaming I do really.

Living with my girlfriend the past year and I think we’d have some good fun playing the co-op games on Switch. Also interested in a few single player games for myself.

Anyone of you got a switch and play it regularly? These are the games I’ve got my eye on:

    For co-op:

Mario 3D World + Bowsers Fury
    Lego Harry Potter
    Luigis Mansion 3
    Mario Odyssey
Mario Kart (pretty much a must-have if you’ve got a switch!)
    Kirby Star Allies
    Super Mario Bros
Lego Star Wars (was a big fan of the ps2 version but she’s not into Star Wars at all. Thinking I can get her into this if she likes the Harry Potter one :giggle1:)

    Single player interests:

    Zelda: Breath of the Wild
    Pokémon Arceus

Anyone played any of those and/or have any suggestions?

We had a switch for a while but ended up punting it as the controllers are * tiny and annoying. Really only got it for super Mario and Mario kart, which were quite good but still prefer the wii versions.

Didn't really play anything else on it but I'd imagine the games you mention are good, but the controller situation was just too much a ball ache to get past for me.

I read you can use both controllers together with an accessory to make a normal controller. Think there’s also some Xbox style controllers you can get for it also. Did you look into getting those at all?

    And this

Nah I did not, probably would have made it a lot better but think we'd already made up our minds. Don't think Nintendo will ever beat Super Mario for the wii, that game was unreal :giggle1:

Funny you say that, the two of us had great fun playing that a couple of years ago :giggle1: Still there’s a super Mario game on the switch that looks quite good

Genuinely think it's one of my favourite ever games haha. If you go for it, definitely get that controller or two of them, if it goes * up there's always CEX :50:

Appreciate the input mate. I won a nice bit of cash on a bet so wanted to treat myself to something and have always loved playing co-op games with my brother and friends all throughout my life. Always the best fun playing with someone towards a common goal in a game I find
