No quit in this team. From 3-1 down, Bergy ties it with 3 seconds left. Just never back down.

    Sedin twins retiring.

End of an era in Vancouver.

That was a beautiful end to their last game in Vancouver. Irreplaceable.

Hasn't really sunk in that they're leaving yet. I've never known a Canuck team without them :giggle1: Going to be strange next year.

My ma's a huge Canucks fan so shes been very emotional about it as well. I heard on the broadcast a few nights ago, "Farewell to the greatest Canucks of all time".

Idk, do you agree with that? I'm just sitting back and thinking about it, Smyl, Linden, Naslund, Bure???!

The Sedins are no doubt up there but I don't think I ever had them above Bure or Linden. Naslund's skill and impact seems to be largely forgotten IMO.

In terms of longevity, individual accomplishments and team success it would be difficult to argue against them. Linden was all heart and soul but never really had the skill the twins did. Naslund was unplayable in his time, but he had a shorter prime. And Bure was obviously one of the most electrifying players ever, but again had a shorter shelf life, was plagued by injuries and spent less time with the Canucks.

The Sedins' didn't have the flash that Bure did but I think it's a combination of the relative success they brought the team, their consistency over the years and the fact that they stayed with the one organisation for their entire career that probably swings it in their favour.

I don't know, the stats would all suggest it as you said. And I think 17 season with one team may put them over the edge. Think the Canucks are (as of right now), one of the few teams that may not have that one definitive player.

Again, not strictly NHL but that bus crash was horrendous.

    RIP.

Some good matchups. Pens vs Deebo could be great. a red hot Avs team vs the preds could cause them more trouble than anyone expects.

cali battle between san jose and anaheim is always good too. vegas against la...a classic already :D

however the best series will be jets vs wild.

Jets up 2-1 against the Wild. Anaheim and LA are about to go on vacation. Both series are 3-0 to Vegas resp. Sharks.

    Vegas continues to surprise.

Really shows how the game has transitioned from grit and physicality to speed and skill in the last few years. The Kings are built for the playoffs and have been swept. Incredible.

Sabres win the draft lottery, favourites to grab Rasmus Dahlin #1 overall.

Canucks fall to #7. Somewhere, @El Capitan is cursing. Still have a decent chance at picking up Filip Zadina, whose can't miss IMO, was hoping Boston would be able to grab him late in round 1 but his stock has shot up since the World Juniors.

We'll never win a draft lottery. Although you could argue that last year was more brutal and we ended up with a great player in Pettersson :56:

I think Zadina goes 3rd. I'd be happy with one of Boqvist, Bouchard, Dobson or Hughes. D is a pressing need for us.
