I feared the worst when I read the headline 'Steve Bruce axed!'

‘"Also, the different number and style of the candidates being considered appears to be a sign of a confused vision. That was a concern to some of those involved in conversations with the club hierarchy."

Nice to see a manager stand on principles and explain why…

Newcastle are all over the shop…

They might just end up with Sevvie G at this rate.

Definitely a bit ambivalent about this whole affair. It’s unequivocally a barbaric and backward, authoritarian monarchist dictatorship (I would * hate to live there). Intimidates and bullies neighbouring countries, often meddling and istigating proxy wars. A pretty odious and rigid bunch (know a few businessmen who’ve been regularly). On the other hand, I am intrigued by the transformation that their ‘petro cash’ will bring about. Could have a profound effect. Exciting times for football, and all that.

ps: maybe as a parting gift, Newcastle could give Steve Bruce some money to get that beak of his fixed (or maybe even some cash for a full facial reconstruction)!

You wouldn’t want to be the first manager to go to Newcastle since the takeover in my opinion. The expectation levels will be through the roof from both the fans and the boardroom. However, it will take a good 4-5 years in my opinion for them to potentially be serious contenders. The chances of the first manager to take over still being there come then are pretty much slim to none. The first manager will be on a hiding to nothing.

Eddie Howe mentioned as favourite. Hope they are willing to wait 5 months for an answer.

Going to take at least five transfer windows to get that team up to speed and challenging top four and you prefer to be the second manager coming in as whoever comes in first the fans expectations are through the roof .

He will be waiting that top English job that suits him and his back room team. He may not have missed the boat but thankfully he has missed his opportunity with us. Between him and our board they can go * themselves. I hope Ange doesn’t become their whipping boy and glad the fans have his back.

Your likely to be a stop gap for them as well. If it is someone like Eddie Howe he will be dumped in few years for a bigger name

Looks like it is Howe, he's * no matter what!

He keeps them up he will get binned for a bigger name, this time a bigger name will take the job as he'll have the summer window to rebuild and a full season.
If he gets relegated he'll get the sack as he got them relegated!!

Eddie Howe will have them relegated, I reckon.

Their squad is awful and he conceded some amount of goals with Bournemouth.

I’m also not sure their owners are that clued up on how to run a football club.

Newcastle trying to get John Kennedy and Gavin Strachan to join him has put the brakes on it.
