New NBA season

half time against the thunder and a 21pt lead so its been comfortable 1st half lets hope the next is same , c'mon da celtics.

 

well another good win 92-83 so well done celtics and onto dallas tomorrow before the heat on thursday nite

 

Good win, bench were great and not just Davis and Daniels this time but Robinson and Erden both had their best games of the season, I think the only negative was the team letting a big lead slip again, they really have to take care of this as they are just making more work for themselves.

In our championship season from a couple of years ago the 3rd quarter was always the one we made a move in and put games away, now its seems to be the complete opposite, you would think that a veteran team would not allow teams back into games like the Celtics are at the moment, but maybe it is just as I said in an earlier post that Boston are not going to kill themselves for wins in the regular season and they are just taking their foot a bit too much in an effort to save some energy, hopefully with Shaq coming back in the next couple of games and Delonte West returning from his ban we will get the right balance between winning games and keeping something in reserve although when Shaq does come back I expect that Jermaine O'Neal will be given some rest especially since Boston have revealed he had a small "procedure" done on his knee because it was causing him some trouble.

 

Im still going with the Lakers to win it all. always been a fan since Van Excel back in the day. Do think the Celtics will make it to the finals again. Both teams look good so far.

N.O. started well but cant see it being maintained. Bulls are looking pretty ok so far. Like Rose so hope they do ok and make the playoffs.

Quite gutted Tverson has left the NBA because for all the grief the wee man gets he is some player to watch

 

10pts down at half time doesnt look too good tonite maybe too many games in a short time is takin its toll on these veteran players

 

I just think the offence has been terrible in the first half, no spacing,no movement, Rondo just running the clock down instead of pushing the ball...to be honest the best offensive player we have had in the first half was Semih Erden.

 

got back into game 2nd half and lead by 3pts with 2mins remaining but managed to blow it and lose by 2 pts

 

After being down by 14 late in the 2nd the Celtics changed the system and came back, dominated the second half and were up by 6 with 6 minutes to play...so why the * did they then decide to go back to the slow half court game that wasn't working for them in the first half...you blew that game Doc.

 

Huge game tonight for the Celtics against Miami...Although we won the first meeting of the season against them I think we may struggle this time if both O'Neal boys miss the game...I think a huge game from Rondo may be the key if we are to get a victory, he will really have to take advantage of the miss match he has at point guard in this game.

 

am going to this tonite and can't wait but celtics will need to be up for this from the start as miami will be after losing the other nite to the jazz and like u say rondo should take advantage of the mismatch and dominate arroyo big time . shaq did a little practice but unsure if he will play any part tonite

Half time Boston are thumping the Heat by 15 points, Ray Allen top scoring with 18, Pierce has 13, KG 9 and 10 boards with Rondo having already dished 9 assists...hopefully we can keep it together in the 3rd because we haven't in the past few games.

 

Boston beat Miami for the second time this season, Ray Allen scoring 35, Paul Pierce 25, KG had 16 and 13 boards, Rondo ended with 16 assists and off the bench Nate Robinson had 12. Miami have now lost 3 out of their last 4 games.

 

had the top on mate but i was in the gods and that seat cost $200 but who cares as a good nights work by the celtics

 

Boston lead Memphis by 5 at half time, Shaq having his best game as a Celtic with 14 points and 6 rebounds, Paul Pierce adds 11 with Nate Robinson continuing his recent improvement with 10 off the bench.

 

overtime at memphis , again celtics poor in 3rd quarter so lets see how they finish and yes shaq played well tonite, opened up with 5 pt lead so lets hope they maintain this lead until the end.

 

Boston beat Memphis in OT..Pierce leads the way with 28, Shaq and KG add 18 apiece, Ray Allen and Nate Robinson 15 each and Rondo 11 with another 17 assists....yet again Boston blow a lead by going away from what was working for them all game long, at the end of the 3rd most of their offensive play goes through Paul Pierce isolations which simply did not work, why they keep changing a winning formula I don't know but it is causing them real problems when they keep doing this in the second half of games.

 

hard fought win and dont know why they persist on making things hard for themselves but a win is a win and onto next game
