Anyone got some knowledge in this area?

Basically at the digs I'm staying at has 3 separate WiFi routers.

One is about 20 ft down the hall, when I'm scanning WiFi I pick up 1,2 and 3 all with full bars but when I try to connect to any of them it connects and instantly disconnects.

Some lads manage to get their PS4 connect but things like phone and tablets don't.

Am I right with thinking that there are too many on the same frequency? And it's causing too much interference?

Anyone have some input so I can go to the * up owner with a solution.

Why the * do they have 3 separate routers?:giggle1: Have you tried disconnecting 1 or 2 of the routers?

Also see if you can get onto the settings page by putting 192.168.0.1 into the URL and the password & ID is usually just Admin.

    * knows, number 1 is at reception I can connect to that fine when I'm at the reception.

I have no idea where all the routers are located I just have this in picture below in the ceiling at the digs

Tried having a look at and can't get access to it.

Doing my box in, no work for 7 days so heavily eating into my data.

Will take a wander to reception and log onto WiFi 1 and have a look at that admin thing

You got a laptop with you? If you do see if that connects to it fine and then hotspot from your laptop if it has it.

No not got my laptop with me unfortunately and I'm using a Samsung S10.

    * knows man, just went out to the bins and connected to WiFi 1 no bother and walked back to the entrance of my building it dropped out and I managed to connect to a open WiFi at one of the other buildings but as soon as I walk into my building it disconnects then starts connecting and disconnecting to the others.

This is when I'm sat in my room.

A few funny things have been happening lately regarding online connectivity I've noticed lately.

Individual sites having problems. An influx of updates to some apps & phones.

It worries me that the USA have declared a state of emergency and the authority that gives them is quite a concern. Especially if you read the terms and conditions of your Microsoft Windows, Google, email providers etc.

It appears to me (please don't hesitate to correct me if you think I'm wrong) that the government of the USA have unrestricted access to most of the information we have about ourselves online.

That includes (as far as I'm aware) everything you've ever typed.

I understand that there will be changes due to increase in data flow given the current situation, but I just don't trust them in power.

These little anomalies in our connectivity are potentially suspicious.

"We're all in this together". Again.

Going to go and buy a WiFi booster tomorrow as the lad down the hall connects his PS4 to wifi1 so going to try that in his room and see if I get wifi1 in my room.
