Defender Boli Bolingoli may have cost Celtic Champions League qualification, says Celtic manager Neil Lennon. (The Herald)

I think it's safe to say this wasn't the main reason we went out, but ok Neil!

I would think lenny was talking about match fitness and losing those two games stopped our strikers being ready to play in the CL game. But he did * it more than anyone else at the club with not even giving the strikers a 45 mins each.

That quote annoyed me. Sounded like an excuse, and a poor one at that.

Likewise, the Boli situation did not cause or contribute to our defeat in CL, not playing a striker, the lack of quality in the final third(particularly finishing) and poor defending did.

The only excuse Neil had was the linesman wrongly ruling Ely’s goal out.

Anyone got any footage of him saying that he blames Boli for our CL exit and the context it was said in? or is this quote just lifted from a newspaper?

I love Lenny and think he’s generally done pretty well for us since coming back (with the obvious exceptions we’re all aware of), but I’m beginning to think the pressure of 10IAR is beginning to tell on him.

He’s obviously in a unique position for a manager, and - like the rest of us - is operating day-to-day under exceptional circumstances at the moment, but some of the things he’s been coming out with seem out of character for him.

Still overall think he’ll get the job done, and probably pick up a cup and the odd Europa result on the way too.

However, he has to find a healthy way of dealing with things without hitting out with embarrassing statements every now and then. Only adds to the pressure and can make it more difficult for the team to achieve what we’re all after.

Do not understand why we are going with the 4231 again tonight. Played brilliant football over the weekend with a back three. Now we go back to 4231?

Maybe sky have it wrong but they have it as klimala Christie and Forrest behind eduoard. Although it would make more sense for klimala and odsonne to both be up top. Hope your right and they are wrong

    I’m 95% sure it’ll be 352 mate.

Sky are clueless when it comes to Scottish fitba.

Good win tonight and glad to see a bit of rotation in the squad, but he needs to get us playing better. Defence still looks sloppy at times.

Id like to get an explanation why Klimala started ahead of Ajeti.

We won, so i'm happy enough, but why would he drop Ntcham and Frimpong? Ajeti I can understand and even Elhamed for Jullien I get, but the other two are absolutely bizarre to me.

Brown was pish as usual, yet he got the full 90 minutes? What is Lennon playing at? The tactics we went for this match were barely working, why not bring on Turnbull around the 60th minute and ajeti around the 65th?

At times? It hasn't been right at any point this season. It is a shambles.

I must have imagined the clean sheet in the last game.

And that was probably the worst we’ve been defensively this season in the league.

Tbf, Barkas was arguably our best player at the weekend. Our defence wasn’t convincing at all in the first half.
