I don't think he should have said it but Mikey is still a boy and it reminded me of the sorta rough treatment an apprentice might get at a normal place of work. He wouldn't have said to someone like Eduard as he is an established star player. I actually doubt he'd have said it to any foreign player; who would be less likely to accept it or understand it.

Lennon shouldn't have said "* off"???

Mate, * up! He's the manager of the club. If anyone is in the position to tell ANY of the players to * off then it's him...

People thinking this is a big deal is an indictment of the snowflake culture in which we currently live

No, I think there should be a strict ban on all swearing in football. Disgraceful!

    Kyogo. A phenomenon
Big nothing to be honest. Neither player or manager will even be thinking about it....they will be concerning themselves with recovery and a late transfer window incomer now.

These * things happen in all sport, frustration....lasts about 20 seconds and folk move on.

Only problem is that it was caught on TV. Anyone here who genuinely think managers don’t speak to players like this has never played the game.

Behind closed doors? None at all. I did say he shouldn’t have done it while “he hobbled off”
