About time, should have been punted months ago, in fact, should never have got the gig full time, should have been thanked after Hearts cup final win and sent packing then. But cheap option I guess.
Some will remember him as the man who guided us to the 9.
But many will always remember him as the man who screwed up the 10.
Everything, from recruitment to tactics, he was so out of his depth.

"sacked" from his last three positions.

Not a good look for a managers CV.

He has my best wishes for the future, plum that he is, and I've no hatred for him. Only immeasurable disappointment in his performance and attitude.

He came back to Celtic claiming his travels had made him a calmer person and a better manager. I don't think anyone thinks that is the case now.

I really hope he finds his feet in punditry. Because like his fellow Irishman Roy Keane, his ego us too much for the modern game, and his inability to shoulder responsibility, as well as his penchant for finger pointing and apportioning blame is divisive and self destructive....but he's not a bad watch in a punditry chair.

I'd like to say thanks Neil, but I can't. Not yet.

    So good luck Neil.

    Is it finally true?

To be honest, I'm just as angry at this news and it's timing as I was with him still being here before now.

Being sacked at this stage, after all this *, it's * pointless.
Unless it comes with a full scale apology to the fans (from the club) then it's all a slap in the face to us.

Raged at this for months, screaming for action to be taken sooner rather than later.

They've waited till it was far too late.

If he really is gone, I'll tell you what - I'm having a beer tonight.

Thank * and * off Neil.

Not a chance and at this stage I wouldn't believe a word he says on the subject either.

Thank you Lenny. No one can take away the good times, and there were some. Barcelona in 2012 was amazing.

100% this. I'm only too glad to see Lennon go but why wait until now? Did they only realize that we are * and that Lennon has totally * it this season after watching the match on Sunday?

Even when they finally do the right thing, they manage to make it look like * hour.

Should have walked away months ago with some of his dignity intact.
Tarnished what should have been a great legacy at celtic by hanging on to the job when it all went to *.

I'm not interested in debating what he did over 8 years ago - its irrelevant.

Your comments on Lennon being "Celtic through and through" this season are total bollox.

He has done a * job this season and * 10IAR - he has refused to accept any criticism for this * show and blamed pretty much everyone else - the players, the fans, the media, the government.

If he was "Celtic through and through" - he would have resigned after the Ross County defeat (when the league was still winnable). He said in November that, if things got worse - he'd walk away. They did get worse and he reneged because he was lying.

He's not stupid - he knows he wasn't going to get renewed but he held out to get as much money as possible out of the club.

It is totally accurate to describe him as arrogant and a money man this season.

Still want to know why the board waited so long to sack him, surely can't be down to money?

Listen if by some miracle Kennedy still has all the knowledge and insight he gained under Rodgers and can implement it well. then i would be for it, but its a shot in the dark at the minute.

Obviously it's too little too late but atleast the club and fans can move on now if its true, Lennon's legacy is tarnished without doubt.

It's a hope, but one I'm not willing to get accept for a few reasons

    1. He's been part of the problem this season.
    2. If he's been biding his time, that means he's kept quiet and be complicit in this season, he's literally then sabotaged this season for his own gain.
    3. I am so * sick of jobs for the boys. Kennedy has done nothing in management to warrant this job. It will be yet again another continuation of the same * for the last 20 years if he gets the job full time.

The * meant to be a defensive coach and can’t even get centre half’s to head a ball. How’s he going to manage an entire team?

Agree this does cast doubt over the supposed 10 in a row bonus and raises a lot more questions regarding why the wait. Have a feeling this is a ploy to coincide with ST renewals that’ll be coming up soon - board may have been hoping that despite losing the league, we picked up some form after new year so Lennon was able to coast to the summer without too much more flak before leaving.
