I'm at the stage that we just have to back him till the end of the season because he's obviously not going anywhere before then. No matter how embarrassing our results are or how much * he talks. Just need to deal with it now.

"withhold your season ticket money" is the only thing they suggest, which is pointless during a season once they have the money already.

Then wait for them to tell you not to do it in March as it will just "hurt the team" and "support the team, not the board" or some nonsense.

I hadn't seen that interview about Deila before - what a hypocrite Lennon is. I enjoy ACSOM but I still don't believe that Lennon is on 1.6m a year (Rodgers was widely reported to be on 2.5m) or that DD would sign up to double that if we won 10.

It's definitely feasible that Lennon is on a massive bonus to win the 10 but I think it's more likely to be 800/900k x2 at the most - still between 1.6 - 2m.

I actually hope it's true - as then I understand where DD is coming from. The league is gone and I wouldn't give Lennon a 1 pence bonus after the **** season he's put us through.

Time will unfortunately tell - it won't be too long before we will reach that point (Easter at the latest unless the Huns form drops off a cliff again).

If these stories are true - at that point, DD should ask Lennon to "do a Ronny" and gracefully say that he's stepping down at the end of the season.

If Lennon won't - then the club should just issue a statement to that effect. I don't really see much point in sacking him at that point.

If this is true, I would hope that they are already looking at who the next manager or DOF will be and can announce something when we reach the announcement of Lennon's departure.

However, experience has taught me that you can certainly rely on the Celtic board, they will always let you down.

I get this and I can also see it being a viable theory (although the 1.6m is a new figure for his wage, we've already heard it is as high as 2.4 earlier in the season and as low as 800k to march his first stints pay).

But for me, this doesn't explain why not sack him in September, October, November, when the chance to still win the league was there. The benefits of that over needing to give this charlatan a pay off, surely outweigh that of what we are going through now.

Alternatively, as you say, why not just * announce he's leaving at the end of the season. Technically not sacking him, but it takes the pressure away from the fans and maybe even the players knowing he is on the way out, they may feel a slight weight off their shoulders.

I'm concerned we will never truly find out the story behind all of this.

We have knew all this season we have a good squad of players, it's the squad that have swept all before them for a number of years, the problem had been in the dugout. The constant chopping and changing of formation and personnel, and being too loyal to players who have not performed well enough. Name me one player who has got better since Rodgers left and Lennon took over?

Buhuhu there's some mean conspirancy against him from Celtic fans...

He is himself responsible for the position he is in. A decent person would have walked when it was clear this isn't working and that was latest after the Ross county embarassment. I try not to abuse him but * me, with every interview where he disrespects our fans more it becomes harder.
Clearlyhe isn't the only one responsable but online today AVB showed what to do if the CEO just buys players over your heat etc. But Lennon chose to stay. His decision. Now don't complain about the consequences.

We can’t drop off? How many times we heard this now. This game will be talked about for weeks now like the game at Ibrox.

“players have proved they can do it”

“need to find some consistency now”

“it’s upto the players to go and show what they can do”

Kilmarnock were manager-less last night and, if we are completely honest, they didn’t offer much at all. We won’t find it as easy when we come up against teams with a game plan like St Mirren. That’s when the onus is on Lennon to find solutions and he doesn’t have that in his locker.
