It's time for the next Movie Rankdown!

It's the
MUSIC MOVIE RANKDOWN



For this one will be turning attention to Movies with Music as it's central theme.

Yes this does include Musicals, but it is so, so much more than that!

Any film that deals with or primarily features music, musicians, musical themes, etc and genres from dramatic biopics to mockumentaries to animated features and everything in between.

But be clear, this is not about movies with the best score or soundtrack - unless the film is focused on music. So for example, as great as Ennio Morricone's iconic scores for Good, Bad and Ugly or The Mission is, or John Williams great scores for Star Wars or Jaws etc, those films would not be eligible here.

As always...​

• Post all of your nominations in this thread between now and 7pm Sunday 2 January.
• At that time I will then post the full Nominated List.
• Then people can submit their Rankings until the deadline @7pm Sunday 9 January.
• At which point will do the staggered Rankdown Reveal

Will tag the usual suspects and others, but as always everyone is welcome to join in, even if you've never done so before. It's all a bit of banter and a great way to discover some flicks that definitely deserve to be checked out.

And for now, just list as many films that fit the criteria as you like.
