Well done Dembele, signals his rise to the top tier.

La Liga challengers on a regular basis, winning it some times and looking likely to do so again this season.

Regular participants in the later stages of the champions League as well, with being finalists a few times as well.
Their Europa League runs in previous years also prove they are able to win these sort of competitions as well.

Does fairly well, I don't see why they wouldn't spend €35million on him. Bargain price for a guy of his ability and still potential.

    Great move for him.

Do well there and he'd have pick of any club in Europe.

The Atletico Madri d and has front. It's called Moussa Dembéléand it's a physical marvel to reinforce the already powerful mattress attack. The mattress club will pay 1.5 million euros for the transfer until June 30, 2021, from Olympique Lyon , which includes a purchase option of 33.5 million euros "to which you can add incentives for 5 million ”, As reported by the French club

In addition to the price of the transfer and the purchase option, with the possible bonus for objectives, the French entity has also specified that, in the case of the purchase, Lyon will also have "10 percent of the capital gain from a possible transfer future".

The Lyon , who paid 22 million by Dembélé in August 2018 to sign him for the Celtic Glasgow . Precisely in this club he earned the nickname of 'Hunskelper', which is a kind of 'honorary title' that Catholic fans give to their players for their performance at the club, especially in matches against their eternal rival, Rangers . It is derived from the terms 'hun', which designates the fans of the blue box and 'skelp', which is to hit.

And it is that that Scottish stage was especially brilliant for Pontoise . No less than 51 goals and 18 assists in 94 games to become one of the idols of the fans thanks to his goals.

    PURE POWER
The mattress club, in its communication highlighted precisely one of the great characteristics of the Frenchman, the physical. "A powerful striker comes to our club, who plays in the last meters of the field and who has a great scoring instinct to convert chances that he has," said Atlético, who highlighted: "We incorporated a player with experience at European level, accurate facing the door and with a prodigious physique ”.

His height (1.83 meters) makes him an overlooked danger for rival defenses although his powerful stride makes him also very powerful with spaces. His corpulence makes him very effective in the game from behind, giving the possibility of incorporation to teammates who arrive from the second line and facilitating the second play. Thus, we welcome a player who joins our project with the greatest enthusiasm ”, added the rojiblanco club.

Dembélé has only played 16 French Ligue 1 matches this year with Lyon , who have played 19. The last three were lost due to a broken arm, suffered in training on December 23, which it will keep you at least one more month off, according to the calculations of the French club's medical services, which will not be available until mid-February.

Of the 16 games played this season, Rudi García , his coach at Olympique Lyon , chose him for the starting eleven in six, four of them in the first six games of the season and only two in the last ten. He scored a goal on November 29, in contrast to the good numbers he starred in last season, with 24 goals, and the previous one, in 2018-19, with twenty.

    MORE FIRE POWER
Now, at 24 years old, he signs for Atlético for the departure of Diego Costa , who rescinded his contract with the club on December 29, to reinforce and complement the attack of the team led by Diego Simeone along with Luis Suárez , who is and he will be the usual holder, with Dembéléeither as a substitute or at his side.

Because the offensive competition is enormous in the team. Apart from Luis Suárez and the newcomer Dembélé , two men who move more like '9' of reference, in the attack the Argentine coach of Joao Félix, Ángel Correa and even Marcos Llorente, again more used today as midfield player.

Also the wingers Y annick Carrasco, Thomas Lemar or Víctor Machín, 'Vitolo' , can act as strikers with other characteristics, although they are only used there circumstantially by Simeone .

Aye thats true right enough bud but even before he caught it he just sat on the bench and didn’t even get a cameo even if they were winning by a couple. Is it loan option to buy but pretty much confirmed he will be joining?

To be honest he hardly got a full game for Lyon either. He needs to join a team where he'll get a run of games as their #1 striker

I can see him back at us one day. I don't think his career will quite hit the highs we were expecting. We can only hope

He's way too patchy as a player, even for us. Would look world class one minute and bang average the next.

Why do we need Moussa when we have the next Lewandowski and Swiss Gary Hooper on our books
