I think his link up is really good and he’s shown that he can pick out a good running arriving in the box to finish. His crossing is fine when he’s picking out a man and not just smashing it in, don’t know about long shots and that but I think he brings other options to the table

Looks a real danger just now.

    Puts in real effort too.

What I'm getting at with the link up play is that he's used to running at the opposition from deep, where he's received the ball in a conservative area of the pitch with plenty of space to decide what he's going to do. I think it's quite different when you're further up the pitch and often with your back to goal. The way we play the wingers tend to act like inside forwards too, and I've just not seen Frimpong drift inside and link play up with the midfield often enough to know if he'd be a success there.

I would love if we could keep him, but given no fans and us not making the Champions League. Then I just can’t see it sadly.

that’s what I meant from my first post, he doesn’t need to run from deep to beat a man. He’s quite happy slowing it down and squaring people up and beating them, running in behind, running into space. It doesn’t matter, he’s happy to do so. The likes of Emilio that we’ve had before as an attacking full back needed the space to run from deep. Frimpong doesn’t

Still got 2 1/2 years on his contract. Wonder how much a permanent deal would actually cost as he seems to enjoy being here.

Can’t be far off being our top scorer this season? Actually think he might be

His goal today counts towards last season's total, surely?

Much better from Moi in this one again, or at least during the first half as I thought his effect on the game waned in the second. The damage was done though.

His link-up play with Edouard is a joy to watch at times and he's growing a good understanding with the likes of Tom Rogic and Ryan Christie too. I really like the look of that trio in behind Edouard, and I agree that Laxalt is having a positive affect on his game too.

His goal showed some real bravery, and the performance overall was what he needed after Lille. He's starting to put some building blocks in place now.

Another good display against Sparta Prague please Moi. A win there and things really will be starting to look up.

For all the decent play and nice goals he has scored the one above is what i like in a player.. desperate to score, willing to take some damage from the post if it means getting a shot away..

some players would not have gone in like that. Nice attitude

Regardless if we win or lose the 10. There's going to be a massive down size next season and an emphasis on youth due to Covid IMO.

I'd expect to see the majority of high earners out the door at the right price and no big signings.

You could probably find 5 of our players and sell for a total of 50 to 60m. There will still be room for £15m spend.
