Superb news if true! (il await official confirmation before I get over excited though) . In the final Third he adds goals and assists - - and before his injury the link up play with Eddy was starting to catch fire, feel he was getting better every game and his class was starting to show. Having him on from the start and mikey to come on (or vice versa) is a nice weapon to have !

Ould-Saada is usually very well informed regarding UK based Norwegian players. I wouldn't be surprised if the source is actually Moi himself.

Not getting excited too early but the source seems credible.

With FF down in Southampton for talks over his next move, I'm hoping for a double signing announcement! Get these boys in and it leave us with only a LW and CB to find!

Aye like others won't be happy until confirmed, but he's the type of player who can make the difference between CL qualification and not.

Do hope we have an agreed fee at end of loan, got the feeling he will totally tear it up.

Can’t see Southampton agreeing to it, he cost them £16 mil and we won’t pay that. If he tears it up for us they could reclaim that same fee from someone else

Celtic are close to securing Southampton winger Mohammed Elyounoussi on a new one-year loan deal.

The Norwegian international spent last season at Parkhead, scoring seven goals in 20 appearances.

And, despite rival interest from Real Betis, the 25-year-old has opted to return to Glasgow rather than move to Spain, with Celtic sources optimistic that a deal will be concluded this week

If this is true that is brilliant news. I must admit while I have wanted us to find a way to keep both Forster and Elyounoussi I was of the mind that really Forster was the much more realistic one of the 2.

    Working fine.
Doesn't change anything I have said or think.
Guys been at Celtic and won his medals etc.
I am absolutely ecstatic at the prospect he is close to coming back here, really do wish he comes here.
But let's not pretend otherwise, playing in La Liga at a club like Betis, that's better than playing for us - for a non-fan. Not rocket science.

100% though would rather he came here and now it is getting closer, I am getting very excited about it all.

Some players would rather play for Betis, some would choose us. Think that's fairly accurate.

Elyounoussi coming back here would be the smart move, given how his career stalled at Southampton. He knows he'll start for us and is good enough to stand out in this league. Whereas going to Betis would be another gamble and he could find himself in the same position he's in at Southampton.

CELTIC Football Club is delighted to announce that Mohamed Elyounoussi has signed a new season-long loan with the Scottish Champions. The Norwegian internationalist spent last season with the Hoops on loan from Southampton, playing his part in the club’s nine-in-a-row title success.

The 25-year-old made his debut in a 1-0 win away to Hamilton Accies back in September last year, while he netted the first of seven Celtic goals in a UEFA Europa League group-stage victory over CFR Cluj at Celtic Park.

He also scored doubles in the 6-0 home win over Ross County and the 5-2 League Cup semi-final win over Hibernian, and he picked up two medals with Neil Lennon’s side last season – the League Cup and the Premiership. And the attacker was part of the first ever Celtic side to win a competitive match in Italy, when the Hoops beat Lazio 2-1 in Rome.

Celtic fans will be delighted that Moi has returned to Paradise for the 2020/21 season, ready to play his part in what will be a momentous campaign ahead.

Elyounoussi's decision to choose Celtic over Real Betis disproves that statement.

    Wouldn't argue with that assessment.
Either way, now confirmed and I am very very happy!
