Just loads of excuses and sour grapes. He is obviously gutted, but he is still acting like a *.

I agree that sherdog is fairly ridiculous at times, but being an MMA forum it's also going to be far more knowledgable when it comes to combat sports than here on average.

It's entirely possible that I'm getting rounds mixed up but I thought in either round 2 or 3 he was close to getting a stoppage and Conor was on his bike trying to stay as far away as possible. I can see why that would be 10/8 to Diaz. At the same time I personally wouldn't give round 1 as a 10/8 because this isn't boxing, and a flash knockdown with no follow up doesn't do much for me. I guess if I felt Diaz was hurt I might see it differently.

All I'm saying basically was that it was a close fight that could've gone either way. People saying Diaz was robbed are likely to be haters, people saying Conor was robbed(had he not got the nod) would've just been the usual fanboys.

So if Conor didn't get the decision, whoever claimed he was robbed is just a "usual fanboy"?

You're not making much sense. McGregor clearly won the fight no matter what way you want to dress it up.

You would be surprised at the amount of fanboys and teens and general idiots that post on MMA and boxing forums and facebook pages. In fact I often torture myself by getting into pointless arguments and debates with stupid as * americans on boxing and MMA threads the sad * I am.

Yeah, Americans in general are binary thinkers, so reading through their views on MMA is torturous, especially when McGregor is involved.

I'll make it simple - it was a close fight that could've gone either way. Any talk of a robbery from Diaz is off. Had the result gone the other way then any talk of a robbery from Conor would've been off. Had it been a draw any complaints from either fighter would've been off. It was that close and I disagree that McGregor clearly won - along with plenty of other (but of course they're all bias/jealous etc ).

It was a close fight but I'd love anyone to explain to me how Diaz won the 2nd round. He clearly didn't.

He also only won the 5th with the late takedown.

    Na.

I thought and knew McGregor had it when it went the distance.

I agree entirely but don't think here is that different tbh - it is very McGregor friendly. The only unreasonable thing to say about the whole fight is that it wasn't close.

He said it was his shin, not his foot.

UFC fights are judged round by round in a 10 points must system. Can you please explain to me how Diaz won the fight under those rules?

He said Diaz checked a couple of his kicks very well and it hurt his shin.

The commentator was so adament that Conor had broken his foot on his way out of the octagon... I guess this is better, though.

Cerrone and Rumble were sensational on the night too.

Really enjoyed the show, apart from losing £20 on Diaz.

Yeah, Rumble is a beast. I would have loved to have seen him against TRT Jones. I am not a fan of Cerrone, but his finishing sequence was immense.
