You can say that, but you can't deny that it's the fight the fans want.

    What's the other options?

Cerrone - full camp behind him, but got destroyed by RDA and Nate and would have lost very quickly against Conor

    Aldo - refused the fight

    Edgar - Injured

Pettis - Supposedly went very quiet after asking for the fight. He's on the back of 2 losses though. I do thin this would have been the best fight they could have made, if you disregard trash talk etc. Pettis was regarded as one of the very best P4P not too long ago.

    Faber - lol

They had to pick someone. And, like I said, they gave the fans what they wanted. It's definitely a safe bet though for the UFC, as was Cerrone.

You give Nate a chance? You think 3/1 is worth a few £££?

It's the most entertaining fight, I'll give you that, but a 100% Cerrone is more of a threat than "3 day fight camp" Diaz. Still think he loses though.

and can we stop the * about Aldo refusing the fight. He was medically suspended up until about a week ago ffs. His only mistake was talking a bit of * that was impossible to back up, like most fighters do.

100% agree on Aldo, but he did say he was training for the possibility of RDA pulling out. And then he turned it down.

Cerrone is way overrated too in my eyes. McGregor would have shut him down in under 2 minutes.

I won't be betting against McGregor. Diaz certainly is not a safe fight though.

The 3 options were; Pettis, Cerrone and Diaz. Pettis is on a * streak which leaves the other 2. Diaz done better against RDA, coming off the back of a commanding performance against a top ranked opponent and he has beaten Cerrone. He is the natural choice.

If you think he is that much of a certainty, 3/10 must be like buying money!

Its not a fight that makes me want to bet.I dont think the price on Diaz is high enough, and the price on CM is too low.

I am tempted and if I get 1/3 on the day I might have €150 on to buy €50. I have €50 on first round KO at 13/8 so I might just leave that as my only bet.

    €50 ain't no small bet for a 19 year old :smiley-laughing002:

And because I'm not extremely confident that he will knock him out in the first. I can see it possibly going into the second. I might put more on it actually and have an insurance bet on Round 2.

There's also the possibility that McGregor snaps his leg a la Anderson Silva.. Or slips and gives up a quick sub or the likes. Nothing is ever a 100% sure thing in sport and so I will never gamble everything to my name on a sporting event :50:
