Minute's silence before the game on Saturday

Don't know why this needed a thread, it was pretty obvious and appropriate that we and every other team will have a minutes silence over the weekend . I'm even more baffled as to how it has got to 8/9 pages .

 

If you argue about a minutes silence for this, you're either a troll or one of the "easily offended, always reading too much into things" type. If none of that, then you're honestly just a *..

Obviously the minute silence will be observed.

 

I don`t know about that mate. There is something about holding a minutes silence for this having completely ignored that Russian airline bombing that doesn't`t seem right somehow. And I mean no disrespect to those victims in Paris.

 

If you come into a thread moaning about folk moaning about folk no observing a minutes silence before silence has even being held you are nothing more than a bed wetting *.

Its not pish St Pauli 1916, it's called respect , that something that a small minority of morons who have attached themselves to Celtic will never understand, they have no respect for viewpoints other than their own.

The vast majority of the Celtic supporters are honest decent people, we can certainly do without the mindless morons that tarnish this clubs reputation.

Why not do a minutes silence to honour the victims of the French and Russian tragedies in one go Saturday? Going forward we should also have one every time there is mass killings in Palestine etc too. No * else does and it would help raise the profile of what's going on.

I might be wrong but I'm sure I can remember observing minutes silences for Diana and the queen mum as well at CP ?

I have every bit of confidence that we will observe respecfully.

 

The Queens Mum there was one. Everybody stayed quiet but it was mostly full of amused looks at pals and poking * in the ribs. If I'm remembering right.

 

Aye see I'm sure that's what happened and the same for Diana as well although I have googled it and found this http://www.scottishleague.net/archive/archive152.htm , which says the minutes silence was stopped early due to Celtic fans booing, which I honestly cant remember I was sure we had for both with Diana's being taken 'more seriously' if that makes sense.

 

Obviously if we're having a minutes silence it should and will be impeccably observed. Not sure why this tragedy is marked but the Russian plane wasn't. No mention of the bombings in Nigeria between the Paris attacks and the minute silence either.

 

When the supporters are more worried about the minutes silence than the actual game then what does that say about scottish football?

 

Seems we have a history of ruining these events. Maybe that is why people think this wont be observed:icon_mrgreen:
