Only 1 has a full international cap. Honestly who the * would buy Henderson off us, any club after us will be a drop in wages for him too. Ntcham doesn't seem to have takers and I have no doubt his agent is trying to get him out, Bitton we could possibly get a fee of 500k to 1m but again we would need someone to match his salary, Boli could get a sale but I think we need to loan him out again to get it.

 

Shved, Boli, Henderson, Nicham and Bitton are all best moved on, along with Bain. We just need to upgrade if we want to progress.

 

The fact he wants to stay in Belgium at some no mark team, where he has it easy, rather than come back here and fight for his place under a new manager tells you all you need to know about his character.

This was a bizarre one, start to finish.

 

I'm sure we've got something, but importantly it's a 1 less salary. Too often we have let dead wood just sit around and if they are still taking pay it makes it more difficult to add to the squad.

 

Sounds * but I would assume he would have been on a decent salary. Could have saved £20-£25k a week getting rid of Shved, Hendry and Bayo alone.

 

All it mentions in the article was a permanent deal was struck, but I'd be shocked if we didnt get around 600k- 1 million

 

He definitely had something, had he been given more of an opportunity I'm certain he'd have been a good player for us, look at the way Soro and Karamoko were treated under Lennon, clearly Lennon didn't have a * clue what he was doing.

But it does say a lot about him that he'd rather play for Mechelen than Celtic, that's a mentality lacking so much in ambition

 

MARIAN SHVED BOUGHT FROM CELTIC

It's been in the air for a while, but now it's official. Shved signed a three-year contract with Geel & Rood today, with an option for a fourth season.

The Ukrainian attacker is 24 years old and came on loan from Celtic last summer. In 24 games, he provided 5 goals and 3 assists. The lease expired a while ago, but eventually a permanent deal was found between the two clubs and the player.

“We have worked on this file for a long time and with all our might,” sports director Tom Caluwe states. “Everyone is happy that it is finally over. Marian showed his potential after a difficult start and showed a real willingness to stay with our club. That only strengthens the belief in our project even more.”

Shved himself had already been in Mechelen for a few days. He is also happy that the signatures have been placed: “It was clear to me that I wanted to stay. I've already gone back to say hello in the locker room and to the coaches. I feel good in this group.”

 

It wouldn't surprise me if Dom, or whoever it is, was spending the bulk of their time haggling to get an extra 100k from this rather than signing us a * RB.

 

I feel bad for this one, I don't think he got given a fair crack at things, looked good in his 3 appearances amd was obviously good in Ukraine.

Attitude problems, sounds like it, but obviously reacted well to the boot up the * he for at mechelen last year after the billiards comment and turned decent

Not too disappointed he's gone in that he probably wasn't going to do much here he was fed up with the club and wanted away but I hope it wasn't a * deal

 

Entirely possible that he’s been doing both. The club need to be quicker with incomings but there was a lot of deadwood around the squad that needed shifted on as well. He’s done well to get rid of the likes of Shved, Hendry and Bayo. Especially with fees attached. Even if we got £1m for Shved. It looks £4m received for the 3 above. Plus we got a good deal for Ajer, potentially £17.5m with a sell on.
