Meanwhile, Celtic have been offered the chance to sign Ukrainian international Maryan Shved.

The 21-year-old right winger, who has one cap, is valued at £2million by current club Karpaty Lviv.

Dynamo Kiev are also keen and it’s understood Celts will only pursue an interest if they can reduce squad numbers before the end of the month.

Big yes from me but I fear there's nothing in it.

The type of market we should be targeting. Capped. POTY at his club. Well within our price range.

I also think we could still strengthen out wide contrary to what many might believe. This along with a CB and RB on a perm would make this window a very good one.

Would have been ideal if he was a LW.

Dont like the way it says weve been offered him rather than us scoping him out but

Good goal scoring record for a young winger that plays for the team who sit 3rd bottom in their league.

8 goals in 17 league games this season.
5 goals in 10 league games last season

I would take him, but i assume we need to get rid of hayes, morgan (loan) before we do.

Exactly. I think players like this on paper are worth the gamble.

Same with the Kosovo boy , Lirim Kastrati, in Croatia that some people on twitter have said we are watching (albeit i reckon nothings in it).

Definitely, if you trust the scouts and recruitment team.
I wouldn't be keen on Kastrati though, I hear he has no balls.

It would good if we made signings like this as part of a 2 pronged approach. Like spend £2 million on a Bayo and Shved and give them 6 months to settle and in the mean time bring in more (on paper) ready made players like Weah and Burke (i know both of them are young and inexperience but theres alot expected from them and are more likely to hit the ground running). The loans go back in the summer and the young blys are ready to step up.

Seems very adept with both feet - but the left foot is the dominant one.
Just because he's playing on right for them doesn't mean he can't play left side - but could also be a 10 no bother, maybe even a great position for him

At least from the video the boy looks really good - very quick feet and a great shot (a la Rogic!!!) and some of the early parts of the video showed him tracking back and winning the ball in tackle - not just winning it but turning it into an attack.
Good value at that kind of money - if true.

Would take him in a second. Exactly the type of player we should be pursuing and exactly the market we should be exploiting.

    Unfortunately cant see it.

Not with our already bloated squad.

Are we seriously passing up the chance to sign prospects like him because our squad is full of duds? * *.

We need to sell before we buy? Meanwhile Sevco are in for Adam Lallana? That's the * that's being punted around.
Sevco can afford Lallana and we need to sell before we buy. We might be interested, but the sell before we buy is made up.
Think Sevco need to sell before they buy. They aren't buying anyone really.

And so are Newcastle, either way he's not the same as he was even just 1 year ago, injuries have seen to that. The conditions of pitches in Scotland would utterly batter his legs.

Sevco can't afford *, all these loans and the money they spent this season on perms will mean they are * next season as they won't win the league and they could have serious problems getting back into Europe.

I wouldn't worry about what they are doing.

No way are the huns buying Lallana. :56::56::56:

Kind of hope they do actually as we obviously need them to make a big name EPL signing before Lawwell bothers to get the cheque book out.
