JACK ROSS insists Martin Boyle is the last person he wants to lose.
Celtic’s head of football operations Nick Hammond watched from the Easter Road stands as the on-form winger played his part in both Hibs goals.

But gaffer Ross doesn’t want to see Boyle leave, especially after striker Oli Shaw was flogged to Ross County.
Asked about Hammond’s presence at the game in relation to Boyle, Ross said: “Did they leave at half-time? I’ve said before Martin is a better player than some people give him credit for.
“He’s got a lot more than pace - his intelligence is really good and he contributed towards the two goals.
“At the second one he stood it up rather than flashed it across but it shows he’s a player in a good place.

“He’s the last person I’d like to lose from this club. I’ve had it with players before – they’re players who get results and you enjoy watching them then people take them off you.
“But I’m not bothered with others watching him because it means he’s playing well for me.”

If Hammond was watching then it’s clear we have our eyes on him
Don’t know an Awful lot about him as haven’t seen enough.
If he’s good enough wouldn’t be against it -

On another note what is the reasoning behind sending Hammond to watch Boyle perform?
Lennon clearly managed him for long enough to know his abilities and what sort of player he is.
What does a few games taken in by Hammond achieve actually ?Artorias, Fontaine, Whoflungdung and 3 others like this. -
The way I look at these proposed signings is, who can he replace? Or who can he stand in for if a player needs subbed / injured ? I dont see it , naw
-
I think he would surprise people and do well.
Decent back up for Forrest -
3....2.....1..... when people realise hes an Australian international and will be subject to the same traveling as Rogic and Arzani (once fully fit).
Australia is the international invite to the Copa America in June-July as well.... Australia will be playing Argentina at the La Bombonera in June as part of the group stages, with Boyle likely the starting winger against Messi, Aguero, Dybala and co on home soil and Ajax left back Tagliafico.Last edited: Jan 23, 2020 -
Nope
-
This signing does look likely tho. -
If this is the type of player were targeting then it's pretty embarrassing. No way will be improve our starting line up or our alternative wing options I don't think.

There’s better out there for the same price we’d have to pay for him. Not a bad player but not our level either.

Don’t give Shved a chance, buy hibs player. Class!
Jeremie Frimpong likes this. -
What sort of fee are they looking for?
