Think I'll just get Mafia: Definitive Edition on its own which is a proper ground up remake of the original. Mafia II and Mafia III are just remasters of the last gen games plus DLC which are usually underwhelming, plus Mafia III was * anyway.

    First one was absolute brilliant.

I remember playing it driving around the town, had a wheel with the ps at the time.

Don't think I'll return to it though, once I play them that's me.

The first Mafia is a masterpiece, one of my all-time favs.

Really wish theyd bring out more mafia type games from this era.

    Really enjoying it.

Just completed the 1st, man what a game, story was brilliant too, know its 20 years old but could remember bits and bobs from it.

Just doing a free roam at the moment, some missions on that then Ill go to mafia 2.

Second one is good as well. Don’t think I ever played the third one.

Sacked the 1st one, free roam missions, pain in the * alien ship, gave up, lol. Its silly missions anyway.

Onto the 2nd one now, I remember little bits of it, so will see what one is better again.

Wish theyd make more of these Mafia games.

Currently exploiting the car crusher glitch it seems to have with a respawning car, lol.

What console is the third for? I enjoyed the first 2. More so the first. I actually bought the second twice as I forgot I played it. So I guess it wasn’t all that.

Mafia 3 is on PS4 & Xbox One. It’s not a particularly well regarded game though.

The story is actually pretty good, and gets a fair amount of praise, but the game is designed in such a way that you’re basically doing tedious, repetitive busywork for 75%+ of the time with the occasional story mission sprinkled in.

Story was really good but the gameplay was such a let down and got incredibly boring really quickly. Really tried hard to like it. Probably killed the franchise going further

Yeah, it was bloated for the sake of being bloated. It’s a shame, because there was a lot of potential there.

If if remember correctly the studio actually pitched Mafia 4 (which was supposed to follow up on the tease at the end of 3) as well as a new IP to 2K, but they were told that they had to pick one or the other and they ultimately went with the latter.

They’ve remade the first Mafia since then, and their new IP got cancelled last year, so I wouldn’t be surprised if we see a Mafia 4 in the next few years. Studios and publishers usually go with a safe bet after a big cancellation and they don’t really have any other options.

The soundtrack on the 2nd is gold, this and the 1st are total classics.

Just conpleted this, two of my fav games ever, totally hated the hit mission on 'you know who'.

Just playing the dlcs that came with 2nd.

Not sure if Im. Going to bother with mafia 3, although I have dlc included, if they play separate like the 2nd one I may give it a go.

Mafia 2 has one of the best music soundtracks ever, love that genre of music.

Playing jimmys vendetta, its ok obviously very repetitive and not much happens cutscene wise but small interlinked story at least.
