I'd like to hear from Tim on this one, because as it stands you claiming he was in jail and no deaths last night looks fairly suspicious.

My question is, who did you jail on N1?

So (if you're to be believed) Tim was free on N1 - dazza died.

Tim was jailed on N2 - no one died.

The only difference with Dazza's death was that it seemed like a Strongman kill.

Jailing a strongman doesn't stop the kill.

Need to take that I to consideration too

No, they can if it's to balance a town heavy game, normally they are xshot.

    Strongman

    Strongman
    [IMG]
    Alias:
    • Juggernaut
    Alignment: any
    Role type:
    • Killing
    Choice:
    • Night
Strongman is a role modifier that signifies that any kills performed by this player cannot be blocked by any means - neither by Bulletproof, nor by Doctor or other protective roles, nor by Roleblocks. It is, however, trumped by roles that prevent the victim from being targeted at all, namely Commuter and, in some open setups, Hider.

Strongman is usually X-Shot. It is usually scum-aligned, but has been seen on Town Vigilantes as well (where the overall role is called Juggernaut).

    Base Role
A Jailkeeper (or Jailer)'s Night Action is one that protects its target from kills, but also Roleblocks its target. Unlike Doctor, Jailkeeper's protection extends to stopping every kill that would resolve on the target by default.

Because it is a combination Doctor and Roleblocker, Jailkeeper has a myriad of uses while not allowing broken combinations or exactly confirming anyone as Town or scum. Thus, it has risen to prominence as a very popular power role.

Because it is a Roleblocker, Jailkeeper is never allowed to self-target.

This role is a non-* version of Paranoid Doctor.

I didn't think that was the case, I'm sure a jailed strongman has killed before....could be wrong.

So jailing is the only thing that stops a strongman kill? Interesting.

Really need to hear from Tim then.

I was always under the impression that if you were jailed your action couldn't go through, whatever your role, and actions couldn't go against you if you were jailed?

Surely a strongman couldn't kill someone in jail, or kill someone whilst jailed?

That would make sense. Strongman would be too overpowered if it couldn’t be blocked.

When is the next deadline? Obviously Tim is the way to go at the moment. No rush though?

@Mr. Slippyfist @Ché I'm not sure, someone jailed can be killed by a strongman, that's for sure, a roleblock, doc or jailer can't stop a kill....if the Strongman is jailed, it might stop the action.

That’s what I thought Pad was saying? So either strongman didn’t have a kill last night or was jailed.

A Jailkeeper cannot stop a Strongman from committing a kill (regardless of who they target), and does not prevent other players from targeting their target with non-killing actions (e.g. if a Watcher and Jailkeeper target the same player, the Watcher will see the Jailkeeper's action).

    ^^^^

That's from Mafiascum Wiki.....so as I read it....a strongman kill can't be stopped.
