    Decent run-out in the end.

I think 9 of the first 11 are nailed on for starting positions, with the keeper and Ntcham/Christie being the only question marks. If we can add a quality keeper then the first team is very strong, with the likes of Bitton, Elhamed, Soro, ROgic, Johntson, Dembele and Griffiths (if they all stay fit) all able to slot in when needed.

Hope we can still add a keeper and 2 or 3 outfield players, but we're looking pretty good.

Good run out at least. Wasnt too impressed with a few of the bigger names in the fringe squad like others were tbh.

To be fair I'd give them the benefit of the doubt since we fielded a full 2nd string. Hopefully they'd hold their own a bit better if they were mixed in with the first team players, can't be easy when pretty much every player on your team is a level below the opposition

You seen that it started to look like a proper game when the first team came on. Lyon started to go up a gear themselves.

I’m a bit of a sceptic about playing a full second string team. I feel it as a wee bit of a futile exercise to throw them all in together. Personally, I would’ve preferred if we had a 2 blended reserves/first team lineups and gave them a half each.

Hopefully go full strength against PSG so we can see where we are quality-wise.

Getting the fitness up is the objective.

First team guys looked really sharp, others who I formed an opinion on last season have done nothing to dispel this the last couple of games.

You won’t see a fully evolved dembele until he’s past 21 look at the difference in tierney now compared to his first start under deila

Thought Soro looked decent but it was difficult to tell him and Ntcham apart on my stream.

Exactly this. So many people think Messi's injections gave him some sort of advantage, which is ludicrous.

As for the game, it was a standard pre-season affair against a good team. No-one really impressed much from the fringe players, but I don't think any of them did themselves any harm, other than Bolingoli, who was about as much use as a fireguard made from ice.
