I can tell you that the celtic team under him played football which was great to watch, with intent and a purpose - that is the difference, it kind of fell apart in his last few months but I put this down to strain from the board and not meeting the demands and expectations of Brendan and his coaching team.

The first few months Lennon had the team playing the ball forward quickly. I actually enjoyed that period.

Forgive me for going off thread here, I see you are in Ireland. I worked in Dublin for a while and had pre-conceived notions before getting there of being surrounded by Celtic fans. Nothing could have been further from the truth - all Utd or Liverpool fans. Is that your experience as well?

I think he didn't do much, it was a well oiled machine from the previous manager, even lennon has said a lot of the driils stil being used etc have came from the previous manager - the players liked it and they worked so why make big changes once you come in - don't rock the boat.

what I didn't like was I think the ross county game, lennon said afterwards about having to 'reassess his defending corners' he seemed to like martin o neill style approach which he used during his playing time. as a modern coach failure to adopt or have a plan b, or plan c is a major weakness! a one dimensional manager is what lennon comes across to me

In matters of style, swim with the current...Thomas Jefferson.

love Dublin, love galway, love Donegal (mini Glasgow!) - I am from Belfast

I know plenty, leeds has a big fan base, arsenal, utd, Liverpool, prob pockets of spurs, city, everton etc - most are through families or old irish players in teams. but celtic are massive in Ireland, and many make trips over to see celtic on a weekly / every home game / 4-15 times a season; the 6am boat and home at 12pm (not accounting travelling from say Donegal or derry to the boat) or fly over etc - and like all us celtic fans worldwide we love nothing more than following the team it is a way of life, and when we have family, friends, sons or daughters etc we love getting them the connection we have to the club - a long lasting bond.

I find most utd men hate celtic, the prawn sandwich lovers.

GAA and the counties also have a big pull, you could go down to co Kerry and want to watch a celtic match only to be put out the back with 99% of the bar wanting to watch co Kerry play - foreign sport all that bs (those folk are a dying breed nowadays)

Haven't seen pics of Griffiths. He's probably the one who's positive.

Didn't see Bain or Barkas either but Ntcham would make most sense.
