Maeda needs dropping, end of. Abada needs to be starting and then bring Maeda on after 60 odd minutes plus for fresh legs.

LIEL ABADA concedes that he might not play every game for Celtic this season – but the winger insists he will be ready to make an impact whenever he is brought onto the park.

The Israeli frontman was utilised from the bench on Saturday as Ange Postecoglou’s team left it late in Dingwall to secure three points against Ross County.

Abada grabbed a third goal for the visitors after his teammates Kyogo Furuhashi and Moritz Jenz scored previously.

Alex Iacovitti brought the game level at 1-1 before Celtic scored twice late on to clinch the victory, and Abada was delighted to get the job done.

I think it was a good game for us,” he said. “In the start of the match, it was a little bit difficult, but, in the second half, we managed to get chances.

“I am happy to score the goal and for the team to get three points. Now we are now looking forward to the next game.

“We are always believing in ourselves during games. I am really happy that we managed to win it.

“I think there is a good chance that any one of the players who are in the squad can be chosen to be the ones who are named in the [starting] line-up.

“If I am not one of those, I will still do my hard work and be positive. Then, when I do have any chance that I am given, I want to make sure that I help the team.

“I think we have a lot of games to play at Celtic and that it is a long season here. So I just look towards my training and then from game-to-game.

“When I get the chances, I want to do all the best for myself and also for the team. I am happy that I did it in this game and all of the boys will now keep going and look forward.

“I am still young and, after I play in any games, I like to do good recovery after them so that I am ready for the next one and the manager will then do what he thinks is right for each game.”

Celtic are now 34 league games undefeated and are sitting top of the league with Rangers having also taken six points from their opening two games.

Abada added: “I am always happy to score goals. Nice ones. Hopefully, I will get more ones like that this season.

“I think the record is just that we look from game to game and look to do our jobs and play our football. Hopefully, we will keep it going.

“Like I say, I think we just play our football and do our jobs. The manager is always ready for each of the games and then he always tells us what to do when we are in them.

“But it’s that we look at it game-to-game. I really hope that we can keep it going. All the focus just goes onto the next one. That’s it.”

It was an absolute beauty of a finish, gets better every time you see it. The touch to set himself up was also sublime.

Ultimate impact weapon off the bench. Provides pace and a direct goal threat.

I like Maeda, a lot actually, and I think he deserved to start based on last season, but I think the spot is now Abada's to lose. We're just so much better with Jota on the left too.

I love Maeda, but Abada should start next week. Great to have such healthy competition.

Maeda is likely one of my favourite guys in the squad.

    * love him.

And feel like the Killie game would prime for him and Giakoumakis to bully and run at their defence.

But in the same token...the movement, the control and overall finishing and cleverness of Jota Kyogo and Abada needs a good run of games now.

It was with those three rhat Anges system looked utterly devastating and I think Abada warrants a few games in the starting 11 now.

Tbh in pre season I thought Maeda, Abada and Jota looked very good, wee Kyogo ain't been too hot, but guess he needs to start, but do think that forward line was busy and looked dangerous.
    And that's without thinking GG

Was excellent when he came on..

Terrorised their left back and almost done their keeper..

That first touch out the sky right on the line. Ooft..

It's amazing how effective he is and he still has room for improvement! If he manages to tighten up some layoffs he'll be as valuable as Jota.

He’s class. Absolutely rapid, deadly in front of goal and getting better on the ball as well.
