if it was me or my religion celtic first thats all thats been going on in this thread, celtic is the religion of many in here and many are dissapointed one of our best players is backed out of this huge game

huge game for us and the guys choosing not to play, its dissapointing but if hes religious minded then fair enough

just hope celtic have the cameras up in his gaff so they can check hes obeying the religious rules and aint just skivving off ;)

Heard he's observing Yom Kippur, sounds fishy to me.

Think it's more the fact we have no replacement for him. If Forrest or even Dembele are fit I'd be happy enough to let him sit out. Religion ain't my thing but I support anyone who follows their faith. But we are operating with ONE winger now to cover 2 positions, that is * infuriating.

I accept there's * all we can do about it and have to let the boy sit it out, doesn't mean I need to be happy about it. Especially when we're already * with injuries. Absolute shambles of a club.

I’m sorry but how does a RW sitting out a match and two other RWs injured constitute ‘a shambles of a club’?

I wonder if I'd get away with telling my work that I won't be in because I'm giving it up for Lent :drag:

The state of some of these posts, this lad is missing a game because of a major day in his religious calendar, there are more than him missing games tonight because of this day!

This lads getting more abuse for missing this one game than Griffiths was getting for missing lots of games as he was too busy eating kebabs and chatting with girls on the internet!!

    Guys, religious intolerance is unacceptable.
Religion is a protected characteristic and as such Liel is perfectly within his rights to observe one of the holiest, if not the holiest festival of his religion, it would be discrimination otherwise, whether you agree or not.
Please be respectful or face a wee holiday from the Church of TalkCeltic

I'd be here till Sunday listing all the many reasons we are a shambles of a club, being left with one winger going into this game is just another one to add to it.

It’s rotten luck that we are missing 3 wingers (4 if you include Kyogo), still not sure where the shambles is.

There is plenty to level at this board, blaming them for injuries and players observing religious holidays isn’t one of them.

Some right ignorance on this thread
The guys not British or Christian so let’s force Christmas Day on him (our religious day) but * the biggest religious day of his calendar year
Every player gets their Christian Christmas off so why shouldn’t Abada gets his biggest religious festival off
Think I stumbled onto a hun forum with some of the comments here

Did you agree to your contract saying you will be required to work xmas day
Do you think this situation with Abada wasn’t highlighted to Celtic before he signed and obviously Celtic agreed to it
Ffs what next. * forgive if a players missus dies and he asks for time off and leaves us short in a position
