Liel Abada

He can be very much, in the same sense of samaras, confidence player. You notice early in games if something doesn't work out right away it gets in his head.
For me that is a massive focus for his development coz he is some player.
You don't contribute to 25+ goals a season being *

Some amazing goals there, both finishing and the positioning to get himself tap ins. Sometimes easy to forget he's only 21 years old yet he's scored 28 and assisted 20 in 101 games. That is a great return for any winger, especially at his age. At age 19 he was ready to step into the team and be a big player.

 

Hope he stays at least another year. Still think we play our best football with Abada right and Jota left.

As others have said. I think we are a better (or at least more dangerous) team with Abada and Jota on the wings. Would love to keep him. Really hope he stays at least one more season.

 

For me it depends on the opposition. I think Abada is more dangerous when we are playing against teams that park the bus. But I think Maeda is better otherwise.

 

He wouldn’t be the only one either. We have some very good players here that Rodgers would improve in my opinion.

 

It was looking that way then it went quiet. I think a new manager and knowing he’d likely nail a place down for another year could put a different perspective on it though.

because really, he was unlucky to he second fiddle last season, it worked without him so couldn’t argue with it but it’s doubtful a new manager would have Maeda before Abada. Especially when it displaces probably our best player in Jota away from his best decision.

 

Depends on what’s meant by park the bus, because Abada with space is deadly. He makes space in very little space, his record against the Huns shows what he does with more space.

Against teams where we would have our backs against the wall? Aye Maeda.

 

See the thing with Rodgers is by far his best attribute is taking a base of players and improving them. He struggles when he needs to build on that, know when to sell players and replace them but take a base of quality players, he can get an extra quality out of them.

This teams not hit it’s peak yet, if we can get the majority to stick together, him in early, a full pre-season then it’s exciting. An excitement I’d have not wanted at all 3 weeks ago, but in the position we are now in, then you look to the positives.

I’m actually the opposite of that, I think we wouldn’t receive as big a fee for him as we could with a bit more development.

He’s the one player ever that’s been linked to a move that I have no clear idea about what I’d find an acceptable return on him.

If he does go this season though, I just hope it’s not to the EPL and another top league like Germany, Italy or Spain.

I don’t think he’d be a success down south, but would in teams in they three leagues. France as well.

His attacking positioning is genuinely frightening
