Any deal will be similar to the Frimpong deal I’d imagine, 10-15 mill range and a big sell on %

Probably already been said, but given the figures they threw around last summer, including that preposterous amount for Dame Shirley Bassey de Ibrokes, we should pull their * pants down over a price.

The EPL; despite the successes of our players down there such as Wanyama, Tierney, Ki, VVD... even "lesser" players like Armstrong, Kayal, Johansen etc; there exists a snobbery among them that will limit the ceiling of their offer. An EPL side will not pay anything over 15m for him, due to his age, squad status etc.
Even if they would, financial idiots like Everton et al will have to be WAY more cautious in the coming windows. FFP is so far up half that EPL's * that half of them could be facing YEARS out of the top flight if they get relegated.

Basket cases like Leeds, Everton, Leicester etc don't have the money to * 20m on (what they will deem) as a "project" player.

If Ajax want him, gie us 40, or * away aff.

Their fans are * scum anyway.

Mind the days when we heard a rumor of a team coming to pilfer our talent and we hoped and prayed it was rumor, or that the money would actually be spent on a replacement, and not a budget version of the leaving player.

Look how far Ange, and ANGE ALONE, has brought us.

Given his squad status we probably aren’t in a position to be demanding 20m+ for him, however Ajax would be a great club to sell to. The likelihood is he’ll do well there, score loads of goals and they’ll sell him on to the EPL for double or even triple what they paid us for him.

15m with a very healthy sell on % would be an excellent deal. Full confidence Ange will replace him with someone far better at a fraction of that price.

Surely his age makes him more valuable, no? Could easily get £15m for him.

And 2 seasons before that in Israel as a teenager, the guy has been hitting good numbers for 4 years running. I could definately see Ajax going in for him, they need for attacking players and he will only improve.

I would think we would be looking for 15m plus a solid sell on fee for him at the least.

What a difference under Ange and big Mick Nic, eh?

We didn’t used to ‘focus on the summer window’ until the 20th of August under Lawwell…

LIEL ABADA has handed Celtic a major Scottish Cup boost by returning to training.

But Jota could miss Saturday's clash with Motherwell after sitting out last week’s win over Kilmarnock.

Abada has been out since picking up a hamstring injury while on international duty with Israel last month.

But the 21-year-old, linked with Ajax and Benfica this week, did light work with Ange Postecoglou’s squad at Lennoxtown on Thursday.

SunSport understands Abada is unlikely to be risked against Well.

But he will step up his fitness push as he eyes next Sunday’s semi-final with Rangers.

Postecoglou is already without James Forrest, while fellow winger Jota missed last week’s trip to Rugby Park.

Great to hear. Get him on the bench and if needed can get some minutes in him.

Honestly man, if Ajax are interested... I would not be entertaining them unless they came with a starter offer of £25mill plus 10% of any future transfer fee (not just profit).

He 100% has the ability to go to a club like Ajax, take on board the absolute beast of a machine they have there in developing talent and within 2 seasons be looking at £65mill move easy... I've no doubt at all that Ajax will be able to nurture his finishing ability which will get him a lot of interest in a few years.

For a club like Ajax, anything less than £25 mill is a * rip off and we've been robbed blind.

If he goes for under £15m then there is a problem, put it that way. We sold Frimpong for that much but our last couple of sales haven't met reasonable expectations for suitable transfer fees. If a young prospect of his quality doesn't sell for £15m+, questions need to be asked about how the club is handling business. It's as simple as that.

He is one of dom mckay first signings so * knows what we might get what will be will be but agree he has more potential than bassey so £19m for me is the starting point

Nevertheless, CeltsAreHere can confirm that Liel Abada, who failed to make the bench, was out running with the subs in the warm down after the match.

This would be a big boost for Celtic because Abada has been missing for weeks and currently, the Bhoys are stretched in the wide areas with even Kyogo playing there today at one point.

Moreover, to have Abada back for the Glasgow derby would be tremendous because usually, he turns up in those games having netted respective braces in previous matches against Rangers.

Desperate to keep this boy next season. We need a quality RW regardless but if he goes he will also need replaced.

Obviously have Vata but it's unlikely he'll get anywhere near the same number of goals.
