Fair enough, I don’t remember Taylor being that lost though. I do remember him being injured and JJ had to play LB.

Ange Postecoglou addresses Liam Scales' Celtic future
Celtic manager Ange Postecoglou has applauded Liam Scales’ efforts on loan for Aberdeen and revealed a decision on the player’s future is imminent.

Postecoglou’s hopes for the centre back to gain valuable first-team experience have been fulfilled with the player making 37 appearances for the Pittodrie side already this season. It has been a campaign of fluctuating fortunes for the Irishman. He scored a contender for goal of the season against Rangers last month and has coped well with setbacks, including being sent off in a 6-0 defeat against Hibs at Easter Road.

Scales has just two games left of his loan spell as he is not permitted to play against Celtic on the last day of the league season. Now Postecoglou must decide whether to assimilate him into his first-team squad or loan him out again next season. There is also the possibility an offer might be made to buy him, with Aberdeen among teams likely to be interested in the 24-year-old. He is contracted to Celtic for another two years.

We’ll wait until the summer,” said the manager. “It’s good to see him doing so well at Aberdeen. When you put guys out on loan you hope they get good experience and make an impact. Liam has done that and I know Barry and the club have been really happy with hm. But those decisions will be made at the end of the year. We’ll see what’s best for him and the club.”

Taylor was never that bad. He has got better but got slated last season for comparable performances to this season which he's been praised for.

Only reason Juranovic went LB when he joined was because Taylor was injured. Having said that it was probably his best position for us in the end.

And JJ was also very good at LB, Taylor hadn't hit his heights yet. When he came back in, he seized the opportunity. And in summer took it up a level.

Taylor's crucial for us just now, we should be aiming to replace him this summer though still. If we get a guy Taylor ups his game again and is first choice, with a competent backup, result.

If their was a choice I rather keep scales than kobi who looks way out his depth in Scotland and rag dolled last derby game .

Sadly I agree with that but Scales himself isn't the answer. At most he should be 4th choice. We need someone in to start the season with Starfelt.
I'm not actually even going to judge Yuki on the derby game, it's the other games he played where he seemed an easy target.

Wouldn't want scales either but if it was a choice between the two scales would be 5th choice and hoping we bring in two centre Half's if Welsh leaves .

Pity Aberdeen didn’t take him off our hands, we need to set the bar higher.

I would agree with you 100% on this. I would be happy to move on Scales as well but if the choice is him or Kobi then it’s a no brainier.

I’d like to get a look at scales at LCB alongside starfelt while ccv is out. Think he’d be better than kobiyashi

    Should be nowhere near us.

The gap between CCV and the rest is pretty big, need to close that with a couple CBs IMO.

Preferably one who's more imposing than what we have. Average height must be about 6ft.

I'm happy with Starfelt but he's another we could improve on.

We definitely need to improve on it hundred percent but scales could be a better stop-gap for the time being than yuki and welsh. I didn’t want him when we signed him as didn’t think he was good enough but could fill in at LCB for first couple games if we’ve no cb in by then

Oh * no, even at the time everyone questioned the transfer. The boys Aberdeen/Hibs quality at most.

He was a money moving transfer between clubs for DD, it was never about being a future celtic player.
