He’s 22. He can’t play for the colts.

Still haven’t seen this reported anywhere.

Just because he plays in the LOI doesn't mean he couldn't be a first team player for us.

That's like saying no player plays play beneath their level or that you can't 1st team players from lower divisions.

Seamus Coleman was at Sligo Rovers. Now the captain of Everton.

Stephen Ward was at Bohs. 200 games for Wolves. Another 150 for Brighton, Stoke in the prem.

Wes Hoolohan, James Mclean, Shane Long, Kevin Doyle. List goes on and on.

Mate, we sign 1st team players from Championship clubs and better - and they don't even seem to be intended for the first team either.

Club signs far too many of these sort of players with absolutely zero structure or idea how to progress them.

But that is a whole different conversation, this lad is 22 - he should not be for the Colts.

    Very disappointed in this,

Just hoping this turns out to be a Seamas Colman like coup.

It doesn't. But we've seen signings like this a million times before.

Its underwhelming on paper. At a time where we really need a boost.

Certainly looks capable of being a left back that can come in more centrally and play a pass.. maybe him Montgomery and Taylor for left back would cover us considering how much work we need in other positions

Last Irish full back we were linked with from the LOI was Seamus Coleman if memory serves me correctly. Rovers fans right him highly. A big ask but you never know, let’s give the kid a chance. Could imagine he’ll come in as a backup anyway.
