No game time for Hendo today in a 3-2 win

He could have gotten enough experience here.

If that's true then why did Ronny Deila, our manager, loan him out?

I still think the loan will do him some good, but as things stand there's no point in extending it

No, he couldn't. He's already said in an interview that he's feeling more mature and grown up due to getting his first experiences away from home. He's somewhere where he won't get coddled, that's an experience he couldn't gained here.

He's also playing and will be throw the summer, our games are finished, Rosenborg's aren't. He'll gain plenty going out.

He'll gain just by being at a club like Rosenborg. Hopefully he gets more game time though

I don't think he's gaining that much he's hardly being played.

Not exactly getting much game time. Quite annoying.

Well he has probably had more game time than he would've have gotten here. He will definitely get more out of playing in their games now rather than taking part in our time off/pre season.

However what is more important about the loan is the fact that he is living abroad, maturing as a person and getting some experience away from Celtic.

You don't only gain experience on the pitch, I'd like more game time for him but his time away will improve him.

Rosenborg play at 7pm the night at home to Tromso, if he doesnt get a start Ronny should punch their managers * in.

    Exactly. :smiley-laughing002:

Rosenborg, from what I've seen this season, are a handy side. He's not going to walk into the starting XI, especially when he's only there on a short-term loan deal.

He's not started any meaningful games though has he? It really doesn't matter how well the other players are playing because none of them made the same impact Henderson did coming off the bench getting goals in his first few games - this warranted him some real game time but he's really not been given a proper chance.

He should have been put on by now, Rosenborg is running out of ideas. I think the loan will have benefited him, but I hope we don't extend it unless he gets some starts in june

Long term it's a great move loaning out, it will teach him to become more professional and pragmatic about the game.
There's still a bit of me thinks he could have made a difference in the Cup semi, with his energy etc...

Sending out young players to Scandanavia has got to be the way forward, tough pro's/league but it teaches resilience away from the home comforts and let's them focus totally on the football.

Got to be a good thing regardless of how many times they start.
