    What was that booking for?

When I saw it, Griff kept the ball in play, then that streak of pish blew for a throw against us that never was?

    Have I missed something?

I thought Griff was thinking the ref blew for full time, so he wellied the ball into the crowd, then the ref booked him, maybe i've read it wrong ?

Can't believe how poor he was in that 1v1 chance. Wasn't even going to hit the target

Just as well he got that assist.

Agreed. I'm much more confident when he's 35 yards out than when he's one on one!

To be honest I thought he was going to get a yellow for diving into the crowd after we scored . Don't know the rule whether its just the goal scorer that gets the booking as there were 4 or 5 of them jumping into the crowd.

He tried to do a Henke chip just to rub it in even more. Not quite got the technique but he's scored some belters before, almost every goal he scored at Hibs was a screamer so I don't blame him for attempting it. Game was won, 92nd minute and he had a little fun.

Turnaround in his Celtic career is remarkable, all credit to him. I remember less than half of the fans even wanted him in the 1st place.

Yesterday's game was set up perfectly for him to come on and make a difference. He didn't disappoint. Well played, Leigh.

    Fifa's rules state that:
    • While it is permissible for a player to demonstrate his joy when a goal has been scored, the celebration must not be excessive.
Fifa directives also discourage the practice of choreographed celebrations when it results in excessive time-wasting and referees are instructed to intervene in such cases.
Although it is not a cautionable offence in itself to leave the pitch to celebrate a goal, it is deemed essential that players return to the field as soon as possible.
Interpretation is the name of the game, with referees expected to act in a "preventative mode" and to exercise "common-sense" in dealing with a goal celebration.
Fifa rules state that a player must be cautioned when:
    • In the opinion of the referee, he makes gestures which are provocative derisory or inflammatory
    • He climbs on to a perimeter fence to celebrate a goal being scored

I'm telling you in this country or wherever else it's because the police don't want surges and is for "fan safety" this is the only reason why refs inforce it or is in the rules otherwise players can celebrate with the fans all they want

Think it was brought up because Forrest left the pitch at st Johnstone but couldn't really stop himself and the ref booked him for it

The whole, getting booked after celebrating with fans is a * joke. I know it's Police Scotland that have made it a thing, but come on.

The players are running to their own fans, nothing is going to happen.

Fifa's Rules are not cool. not cool at all.

Remember back in the day when cautions were for actually committing proffesional fouls.

Or in Scotland you could get a red card for blessing yourself.

Which * fifa directive was that one?
