He's done enough to get to prove himself in the groups. Very interested to see how he does.

And considering the kind of group we're in, and the level of the teams we're playing, what exactly would it take for you to lavish some of your Efe-esque praise upon him? A hat-trick against City? A mesmerising solo goal against Barca? A deadball chip against Moenchengladbach?

Yeah he's got a great chance to prove himself on this stage now. Against 3 very good teams.

    No we wont.
we will get pinned back and struggle for the 4 games against barca and city and griff will be labeled * because the whole team just simply cant cope at this level.

Aye, but they know * all about football and idiots are always going to exist so I'll be too busy enjoying the goals to care. :50:

Can you honestly name one club in the world that Barcelona are incapable of mauling?

the world of football has moved on...scotland has stood still since 2001...that's the last time we could afford to pay epl wages...under MON and even that put us into debt.

We are not all sat here thinking griff is brilliant but we accept for us he is a great striker and we understand the problems the club has with money and getting players into the splfplf.....but what is the point in all the hate towards one of our best players....it gets us no where.

im not going to sit here and slag griff off because we cant afford the next larsson.

A 40 goal a season striker should be able to bury one of the few chances we get, so this is not an excuse.

What were these few chances and what ones has Griffiths missed against them? :smiley-laughing002: you're inventing things in your head and taking it as gospel.

Scotland hasn't stayed still. It's went mightily backwards.

Yeah, and the sad thing is that the likes of you will be jumping on this forum with glee to berate him should he miss one of the three chances we get against Barca away.

I dont hate him and i am not abusing him i am calling out his obvious weakness and saying that needs to be addressed, either by him or another striker, as i said he may prove me wrong and ill take it, your right no point arguing about it lets just wait and see, i just hate to see how far we have fallen as a club, where did it go wrong to the point we are such minnows in the eyes of europe? People used to fear coming here!!!

Rooney isn't the epitome of SPL standard striker, I'd take that as an average one. He's a good SPFL striker, I'd say somecunt like Liam Boyce is the epitome.

Always used to say Stevie Crawford but that was a while back now :56:

You will find i praise his good points also such as against HBS at home which was a wonderful performance! And the type of player we need consistently with an all round game.

Like I said to Finny, what exactly are you looking for then? If you want someone who can go attribute for attribute in the Champions League as well as hit the goals that Griffiths does then you'll be looking for the club to trigger Luis Suarez £140 million buyout clause, because that's the kind of player you're describing.

If you want a striker who can play the way you describe, as well as hit the net with the regularity that Griffiths does you're paying top dollar, and on top of that most of them wouldn't even entertain coming here.
