    In Scotland he's the foremost of an attacking 4, against defenders who are a level below him.
    In europe, where our midfielders get bogged down in their own duties/battles, he a lone striker outnumbered by defenders who are the same level as him.

    He's doing the best he can, but unless we can build from the back in europe, releasing midfielders to support him, he's unlikely to maje much impact there. Currently we couldn't build a sandcastle on our defence without it collapsing.
