That header was phenomenal. Had to jump over the big defender, hang and direct it in. Great finish..

    It was almost Larsson-esque :fear:

Isn't that 14 goals in his last 13 games?

Provide Griff with the ball inside the box and he will score.

Only natural goal scorers have that instinct.

That quickness of mind and feet. In symphony.

    They are few.

He's fantastic in the air for a guy of his height.

Fair play to the wee man, I've been constantly saying I don't think he's good enough for Europe. Two goals tonight is a good start to make me eat my words.

For what it's worth I still don't think he's good enough for the Champions League. He's good at the level he's at but he won't get headers like he did tonight against top defenders.

It's a worthy comment mate. Even in the league I see him squander chances I think he should be burying! Like I say, 'coming' good. it's progress! :icon_mrgreen:

He will if he keeps showing the same desire he showed to win that header in the first place. He had no right to win it but desire and being determined as he was made it happen.

I've no problem with him as our second striker, the 'Solksjaer' off the bench type but I think we should have someone of a higher calibre as our main man. Thumb is way too lightweight for the top defenders over the course of 90 mins

No, a better defender wouldn't have let it bounce over their head.

I'm not taking away from the finish, but that goal wouldn't have been conceded by a better defence

This is the constant argument about the thumb, oh can he do it for Celtic after Hibs and Dundee, oh but can he score consistantly in the SPL, lets see if he can do it in Europe, oh but its not top class defences like the proper Champions League

A know very true:smiley-laughing002: And once he's banging in hat tricks in the Champions League it'll be, oh but can he do it in the World Cup? Nah he's * then:56:

The guy is a goal scorer simple as mate, its the most simple yet hardest of things to do on a football pitch and he does it :50:

Griffiths is a natural goal scorer.

We are lucky to have him for a while.

    Until he moves down south.
