Larsson and Moravcik were our last players in that bracket, in my opinion. No-one else has come close.

The Griff scores a goal every other game ha plays.

Teams like Sunderland, Crystle Palace, Newcastle, Southampton are crying out for a striker with a much lower goal scoring rate than that.

Steven Fletcher scores every fourth game at Sunderland, for gods sake! :56:

The Griff scores twice that rate both at home and away, for every team he has ever played for.

He has never dipped down below 50%.

We are extremely lucky to have him.

If the better strikers of the BPL are world class, then Leigh Griffiths is a world class striker.

    He is better than Fletcher.

You've got Neuer, Courtois and De Gea. After that, Gordon is right up there.

I do agree that superlatives do get thrown around far too often in for all these days though.

You fail to consider that Griffiths is playing in a weaker league. Griffiths would struggle in the premiership, even if he was playing at one of the biggest clubs with a lot of service.

All of those sides you mentioned wouldn't come under the 'top sides in the best leagues' title which you earlier stated. Southampton come closest but even then they are not a nailed on top 6, even top 8 EPL side. Regardless, Griffiths still wouldn't start for any of them.

Stephen Fletcher isn't world class either. Why are you bringing him into it?

I have a very strong feeling that you are severely at the wind up here but, anyway, if Griffiths is as good as you say he is, why is he here? And why did Wolves sell him so quickly for such a pittance?

Your talking *. Whether you are trolling or you are somehow genuinely believing the nonsense coming out your mouth, it doesn't matter either way.

Those teams are not crying out for Leigh Griffiths :smiley-laughing002:

Take into account that Fletcher isn't a pure goalscorer, never has been. Griffiths is a pure out and out finisher, he doesn't have more to his game. The Leagues Griffiths has played in are utter pish compared to the Premier League too. Put Griffiths there he will struggle. He gets that many chances to score playing for us he is always gona score a good number.

I'd say our most recent world class player was Boruc at his peak. An argument could possibly be made for Nakamura as well purely based on technique and set play ability.

From 2006-20013, Hooper had a record of at least 1 in 2 every season.

He couldn't get a game in the BPL, and still can't.

Leigh Griffiths will never be a BPL striker. He's mid table Championship material.

From what I can read, Drifter is CLEARLY trolling.

Anyway, Griffiths. He's an average - good player. Won't ever be anything more than that.

    I disagree.

    Totally.

    LG is a phenomenal striker.

He played for Wolves for half a season, mostly as a substitute, and what happened? He scored his usual 50%.

Before being shipped back to Hibernians, and what heppened there?, well he scored his usual 50% again.

And what happens here at Celtic, well he scores even more than 50%.

    What's next for Leigh Griffiths?

    A natural goal scorer!

This isn't the first time he's said all this so, I wouldn't be so sure.

What's next? The bench role once we get a better striker in.

Good *, I like Griff and am positive he can do the business for us, even in Europe (hopefully), but unstrap that rocket pack cus he is not world class, he's good at what he does and he will improve but there's no way I can expect or demand anything more of him than that as a fan.
I love it, a quick scan of most other teams forums and it's all 'were amazing' type hubris; we have to have some of the most passionate, neurotic, brilliantly mental fans in the world, I'm a bit mad myself, like. We're either forecasting the apocalypse or criticising our players from literally every angle possible, it's great.:smiley-laughing002:

I'm one of griffs biggest fans , I've defended him and sung his praises when needed and when appropriate but he's definitely not world class :smiley-laughing002:
