He might be a bench warmer at Norwich now but he was a quality big game player for us, I'd have him back if it weren't for his attidue towards the end of his spell here.

Apologise mate, read it wrong then:50:

Di Canio was on Larssons level. He was an utter genius. His dribbling was unreal.

    Although Larsson was still better.

Di Canio could have been, he had the skills but he was a nutjob. It's why Larsson went to Barca when he was over the hill and Di Canio to West Ham in his prime.

Di Canio was a genius though, no doubt.

I'm interested to see how Griffiths will fair in Europe as he has completely no all round game it's just run in behind and shoot with him all the time, is that going to cut it at the highest level?

A don't think there much difference is quality between Griffiths and Hooper.

Aye Hooper seem to have his mind elsewhere in the last 6 months of his time with us.

Which coinceded with his best goalscoring run. I don't think he did, I think people were just trying to make themselves feel better that he was leaving.

We also changed the team to focus around Commons instead of Hooper the last 6 months, so that could also be why. I can mind Hooper coming on and busting a guy against Cliftonville when we knee he was off in the next couple of days.

He was a superb player for us.

Larsson had the better career yes but Di Canio was still world class. He was great at West Ham. Am no sure how he never went on to greater things, it probably was because as you said, he had a screw loose.

Hooper is far better than Griffiths. He has more to his game than goals.

Swalex did say he regretted not signing him.

I'd still have Larsson before Di Canio though. Di Canio was a Jay Jay Okocha for me, superbly talented, amazing to watch, not in the very top level of players though. I think Larsson was.

Far better a don't agree with. Griffiths has more to his game than goals. He drags players about a lot more than Hooper, he is a far far far far better headerer of the ball than Hooper.

He can score from better and harder angles than hooper. He can hit free kicks. He brings more energy than hooper.

I would say Hooper is far better as well.

His goals are more varied, I'll give you that. But his first touch is pish, he can't control the ball when he dribbles, his passing isn't great and he isn't as strong as Hooper. Plus he isn't as good a finisher.

Hooper suits this formation far more than Griffiths.

A mind Man U were linked with him shame it never materialised. I'd put him in the top bracket for "skill and dribbling". He had that real winning mentality like Henrik as well, . That dude had a serious gift when it came to what he could do with a ball.

A wouldn't put either in the top bracket though that would be Messi Ronaldo Ronaldo Maradona Garrincha extra..

    Maybe the bracket below:icon_mrgreen:

It's not even close between Hooper and Griffiths. Hooper was a far better all round player, and a more intelligent player as well.

So basically you've said things Hooper is better at and I've said things Griffiths is better at.

We both think Hooper is better the only difference is you think Hooper is far better and a don't:50:

So he's a more intelligent footballer and is a better all round player. Those two don't mean one player is better than another. Teddy Sheringham was one of the most intelligent players I've ever seen and had a excellent all round game yet was a bench warmer at Man U most of the time.

Griffiths has some great qualities about his game. He'll run and work his socks of all game, and great finisher by head or foot.

He's 3 years younger than Hooper and has loads to improve he's only 24.

Hooper is entering his prime lets see what he does with it.

Hooper would of been more suited to this team and Griffiths would of suited Lennons better.
