Needs to go, he took his fans favourite as an excuse to think he didn't need to put the work in to excell as a Celtic player. Could have been a Celtic legend bcoz there's no doubting his ability to out the ball in the net, it's just his whole package and that's why he's on the outside looking at inferior players represent Scotland at the Euros. Don't want to see him line up against us either TBH but he's not going to play enough to keep him.

I'd say hooper was better than him, he knocked in 20 odd goals all 3 seasons he was here.

Griff has a rap sheet as long as yer arm.
Divides option among all Celtic fans.
One thing nobody can take away is that he is a natural goal scorer. And, they are thin on the ground.
New manager, new regime, clean slate.
Would take a chance, give him another year and see how it pans out.
I reckon he is a thick * but surely he must realize his career is in last chance salon.

We've handed him contract renewals when he was barely playing. He thinks he's the dogs bollocks. The man has talent but in modern football that means * all if your sweating from lacing up your boots.

I wonder if him seeing the scotland squad going to Euros, that the penny has finally dropped that he’s wasting his career. It could’ve been him.

He really needs to grow up and drop the social media *. You’re a professional footballer not a * tik tok influencer

I think this thread is a good reflection of why the club are in the mess we’re currently in.

It’s almost unbelievable that there are some fans suggesting that this wee waster should stay at the club. We need to rid ourselves of the players that have let us down. There should be no more goodwill left for guys like this as far as I’m concerned.

So did half the squad, most of the season that got worse. After 70 minutes most of our players were puffing out their arses. When the coaching standards are that low players are bound to let their own standards drop.

Nobody turned up as unfit as he did. I wish we weren’t in a position to even consider taking the year option up. He doesn’t deserve it, he has been extremely disrespectful towards us.

However, I would do it. He’s in a wee get fit mood. If it’s even for the first couple of months until we bed in who the new manager brings in it’ll be a good move.

    * usually has 10/15 good fit games in him before he * it, if that lines up with the start of the season it’ll be worth it because it’s usually worth about 8 goals. If it is a start, then I’d do it.

and I * hate that I think that because it’s as pathetic as he is.

This is pretty much exactly how I feel. He doesn’t deserve another chance with us but he’s a * good player when fit and he could be the difference between winning and losing the league. Take up the year option and punt him in Jan when we’ve had time to put some kind of a squad together.

Absolutely, but been too unreliable for way way too long. Focused, fit and well he’s a must keep, but he is sadly rarely any of that.
