Leigh Griffiths is a lethal goal scorer and very good all round player, who the * wouldnt want a player like that in the team. Love the guy.

I thought he was finished here, but today shows why he makes such a difference to the team, and why we were playing so well after Christmas last season. Needs to be included for at least some of the hun game

I’ve also conveniently missed a couple of games this season where Griffiths didn’t feature (lack of fitness/* attitude) and Brown was, by all accounts, pish.

    Hilarious, that.

    Welcome back.

It's been a while since a player showed that level of emotion after a goal.

I'm no doubting how good Edouard is or could be but Griff is still the man

I'm not going to get carried away after one goal. He was fantastic when he came on.

But I wouldnt say hes the "man" when hes been missing for the entirety of this season so far up until today and has had a history of that across his celtic career.

Let's not forget what Edouard has done for us.

Hes been a far more consistent player for us over the past few seasons than Griffiths is the point I'm getting at, scored massive goals and been incredibly consistent.

Now particularly at a point now where hes having a rough period of form and suddenly Griffiths scores and has a big impact and people start questioning Edouards attitude etc, forgetting that was Griffiths first appearance this season for a reason.

Potentially even wanting Edouard sold on deadline day I've seen some say. Its * mental.

Griffiths is a great goalscorer for us and I'm glad hes here but Edouard is one of the first names on the team sheet for a reason.

    Our fans are so fickle.

I find it really hard to believe what people say about Griff being a bad apple outside of the pitch considering what he does when he play. He is not Messi but he is dedicated and focused. That season with 40 goals, he single handedly rescued a bad team managed by a guy out of his depth.

It is really weird talking about Edouard's consistency after he is pretty much hiding for this entire season so far. Possibly, to force a transfer, something that Griff, the "unprofessional bad apple" would never do. I think it is quite obvious Griffiths has done more for Celtic than Édouard. We wouldn't be so ungrateful towards him if he was Spanish or French possibly.

I just love what he does. Nothing fancy, or trying things he can't do.

Plays simple passes and scores goals. He is without doubt a fantastic striker, and if we can keep him fit he will be like a new signing.

That last paragraph is utter nonsense. I'm sorry. I was wondering how long it would take for the "If his name was Griffaldinho" argument to come out. Heard it so many times about so many players. Its *.

Edouard hiding for this entire season is rubbish. Are players not allowed bad patches of form? "Possibly to force a transfer" as well. *. Hes been here 3 seasons, is still here with 24hrs to go in the window even after our team were humped out of the champions league when Griffiths was nowhere to be found.

Complete and utter speculation and * making things up out of thin air.

If he was forcing it he would be gone by now and even if he was to go I would be gutted but would not think less of him.

All of this coming from guys who will no doubt cream their knickers if he scores against the Huns in 2 weeks time.

Just like at the start of the year, we needed him today and need him going forward. Ajeti knows where the net is but hasn’t been fit and is injured now, Eddy is out of form and needs a partner. The Eddy Griff partnership won us that last league, it could well play a big part again.

He’s * frustrating at times with the fitness stuff but he’s a very good footballer.

    * love Leigh Griffiths.

To think we signed him for what...£1.25 million.

    * phenomenal player, so passionate and the huns * hate when he plays against them because they cannot handle him.

    Great to have him back.

    Griffiths. Dedicated and focused? Sorry?

Talented. Good goalscorer. Passionate about the club. I’ll give you those. But dedicated and focused? You’re having a * laugh.

If he was dedicated and focused it wouldn’t have taken until October for him to play a single minute of competitive football this season.

And as @Mr Shelby said. The classic argument of “if he was French and had a fancy name” is the most embarrassing argument that crops up regularly on here.

Tierney was adored. McGregor is adored. Brown is a legend. Countless Scottish players are idolised at this club.

    Stop being a fud.
