Would rather we got a closer look at him with a Motherwell or something but it makes sense, hope it's the making of him.

From making his senior Ireland debut to playing for Tranmere within a year. What a fall from grace. Kind of feel like Celtic haven't done right by this lad.

Aye I'd have thought a lower level scottish prem team or bottom English championship mibbes better for him but the loan at Notts County was the making of CalMac, hopefully Lee can push on and get a good season under his belt then come up here and compete for a 1st team spot afterwards.

Wow. Surely could get a loan move to somewhere closer to home such as St Mirren, Motherwell etc.

Would rather send players to our league and not send them on loan to other leagues.

Having said that I suppose it worked out for McGregor when he got loaned out to Notts County but on the other hand, Christie and Ajer developed well when put out on loan to Aberdeen and Killie.

Strange move but he needs guaranteed game time, they just got relegated but imagine will be good enough to get promotion this season. Playing a full season in a winning team will do him a world of good no matter the level.

League 2 Tranmere at 20 year's old after playing for relegated Thistle in the championship in Scotland..

Hmm. Clearly he isn't as developed as we thought..

Why are you and others convinced that it is the club's fault that the player has failed to make an impression at Celtic and Partick Thistle, and is now playing for League Two side Tranmere Rovers?

Perhaps you ought to consider the possibility that the player is failing to live up to his potential, incredible as that may be.

Conor Hazard has a cap for Northern Ireland, a comparable international side, and he is nowhere near ready to play regularly for Celtic. It means nothing.

See to be honest I had no idea who he was. In fairness he has no idea who I am either.

I'm wondering if the lad hasn't settled in Glasgow. Does he have family in Manchester? He was there for a few years and Tranmere is only about an hours drive from Manchester I believe.

He needs game time that's the priority, he might not have been guaranteed that at a spl or English championship club, also the fact he hasn't had a pre season may have turned a few spl teams off

If he's too good for Tranmere then he'll show it, simple as that really.

first team football experience is what matter, and i hope more follow suit.. Tranmere is a bit underwhelming and would've had higher hopes in fairness.

Wished we sent him out on loan to a spfl side but mcgregor was at notts county when he was 20 so it could still work out well.

Calmac moulded himself in League 1. Hopefully he can do similar in League 2.

I remember Sky showing a notts county game when both he and Grealish were there and it was crazy how out of place they looked in that league (in a good way).

Why is there such an odd obsession with this fella when he’s never kicked a ball for us?

I mean I know we want all players to do well but people back him up excessively like he’s their boy or something.
