I take it your talking about the Union Berlin left back Niko Griesselmann? If so I can’t see us getting him he was asked about it in German media and pretty much said he was staying in the Bundesliga.

 

Yes that’s the one and also thought it would be a stretch for him.

But it’s the kind of quality we should be looking for, before they go to the Bundesliga, like Juranovic quality. I see Juranovic as a better LB than Buchanan, so that makes me think Buchanan isn’t good enough.

I hadn’t realised how close they were to actual liquidation. If this doesn’t get sorted shortly they are the next Rangers in 2 weeks.

if that’s the case you would reckon they would take any offer. It would be worth poaching their young right back too, Festy Ebosele, he is only 19 so has a lot of development to do still but is rapid, like Frimpong quick.

You could probably call him a utility player rather than a right back as he’s played as many games at right wing and occasionally left back.

Scales is a big lad, I honestly don’t want Taylor near the side.

I would start Scales ahead of Taylor everyday if the week.

 

Just saw that they had to accept a £500k bid from Notts Forrest for Festy Ebosele but he turned down the move. So if we are interested in Buchanan or any of their other players now would be the time to get them as they are having to accept bids to try get any cash in.

Lawerence is 28 but is versatile across the forward positions and has a decent return for them as well. Given our injury situation might be worth a look.

 

Maybe we should see if they have any decent midfielders!

We definitely held talks with Derby about him over a week ago, but to be honest I think if we were signing him in this window then it would have happened already.

Derby want to keep him and have the option to extend his current deal by a further year.

 

but they might not have that choice administrators will be wanting in as much funds as possible surely

 

Is the lad Doherty from spurs, used to be wolves not up for grabs. Always liked him..

 

I know, but if the league allow Derby to extend his deal then they’d theoretically get more money for him. It’s a complex one.
